Title: this week's cooking challenge
Post by: Claw75 on October 21, 2009, 08:13:49 PM
see 'mushroom poll' thread for details. I laid the gauntlet this morning, looking for opponents for a cook off for a 'mushroom based dish'. CIA valianty took up the gauntlet but sadly couldn't complete the challenge. His excuses reasons are also on the mushroom thread.

Here's my effort. vote away.

[ x ] fail

as a fully fledged carnivore I would usually agree, but the rules this week were that the dish had to be 'mushroom based'

Fcuk the rules. Add a couple of grilled lamb chops to that meal and lose the fail.

had intended to do four mushrooms per skewer but they wouldn't fit.

And in your pic.....oh, wait....

This was meant to be a cooking challenge, what happened to the cooking.

Heating a few veg and a bit of cheese just doesn't cut it I'm afraid.

And serving on a manky table is an epic fail

Geo

bit more to it than that - there was the preparation of the marinade and the marinating itself, making the salsa etc. The 'heating' bit was the easy part at the end.

yes of course, but don't want it so toasted that it goes crispy, obv.

Is everyone eating off square plates these days?  I'm still using round ones.

no I usually use round ones - this one is a serving plate - if I'd put the stuff on one of my normal plates it would have looked too crowded.

FYP

P.S. Looks a nice snack though, perhaps grill the halloumi seperately and serve inside the pitta, then you could give the kebabs a bit longer.
