he does know a good thing when he see's it, he knows celtic is the greatest job he ever had (said it himself live on Sky during CL night), but he didn't walk from celtic, he was pushed out my the fans.

If he get the Boro job, id love to see him do well, i like the wee man really, but he was sending celtic backwards at the end and had to go, we currently still employ his team apart from 4 Mowbray signings, and we are pure pish.

I still think he is a decent manager for 'middle of the road' teams, just not suited to celtic, just look at how they played last season and this season.

His substitutions were shocking at times, although not as bad as Mowbray by the looks of things!

how they played was more to do with the funds and the players he could afford and wnted to come to celtic who are a middle of the road team under current circumstances

middle of the road teams are teams like Fulham, Wigan, Blackburn, sunderland, Motherwell, Hibs, Hearts etc that don't play in Europe every year.

Celtic are competing for the title every year and in europe ever year, Defo not Middle of the road.

celtic because of the league they are in are in same category as the above teams
obviously if they moved into a bigger league with bigger tv money the support they have would levitate them above those teams

Wow. What an odd opinion

I'm delighted if it isn't Nigel Pearson, quite surprised really they don't just skip an appointment and go for him. Strachan though will be excellent at Boro.

I was a massive critic of Strachan at Celtic.  I liked him at Southampton and always thought he talked sense when used as an analysist on M.O.T.D and things like that.  He had an attitude problem and alienated a large proportion of the Celtic fans with some insane comments.  He was never liked by the vast majority in the first place and needed to get the fans onboard but he felt that he was more important than the fans.

That said, I think its apparent now watching Celtic under Mowbray that Strachan wasn't as bad as many Celtic fans thought.

Good luck to him anyway.  Good luck to the Boro fans as well.   I hope as a Celtic fan though that Strachan comes in for Caldwell, McManus, Brown and McDonald.
