The event costs £5250, I am selling up to 50% at about 1.2, which means that 1% costs £62.50, 5% costs £312.50, 10% costs £625 etc etc. My Hendon Mob is here....http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=43205 My most relevent experience to this event is winning the 2007 World Heads-Up title, during which I won 7 straight games, going behind only once and being all in only once, to take the title and more than 100k euros. I played last year's World HU, winning my first round game but losing in round two to some galmbling french maniac. I have gone through phases of playing online hu sit n go's with some success and intend to go back to them to warm up for this comp. I have also run deep in the WCOOP and FTOPS heads-up comps. I am not playing the World Heads-Up this year at he Vic as I will be in Vegas with James but I am having a pretty good year and playing pretty well so think I offer potential shareholders a great chance of a return. I think we were well matched but I just didn't get the rub of the green. At the first break an hour in I was 16k to 14k up (15k starting, half hour blinds) and at the end of level 3 I won a decent size pit which had been rr pre and Richard looked a little steamy.
Next hand I raise to 525 at 100 200 with pocket nines, he quickly rr to 1850 and I 4bet for the first time to 6500. He only had 13k so I now have to call, he has A-Q...blank flop, turn Q river Q. I stick my 2600 in with A3 hearts, get called by K-J...2heart flop, turn off suit Jack river blank. Gg. I felt I played really well, avoiding one big set up when I just called a rr with Ah-Qx. Flop T-T-9 with 2 hearts, ck ck, turn queen of hearts, I just call 800, river king I ck behind to be shown kings full. Apologies and tx to investors, next time! |
