Title: We gave them what they wanted and it's on TV tonight
Post by: EddieHearn on October 28, 2009, 03:49:38 PM
The Partypoker World Open V starts tonight on Channel 5 at 12.10. For the first time players sat with triple stack (300,000) in chips and after watching the shows I don't think we can ever go back!

Tonights line up includes :

Luke "Full Flush" Schwartz
Yevgeniy Timoshenko
James Akenhead
Ian Frazer
Andy Ward

so they start with 150 bbs now

have you decreased the number of hands per level or did the games just run a little longer?

the games took much longer, same levels etc

they took between 6 and 10 hours.

Each heat will be two shows

Just what we need after last nights atrocity of LNP....epic line up...Im really liking this Jovial Gent, will be interesting to see how he plays this format live with equal stacks.

I'd bet decent money close to perfectly i'm not one for spreading the praise but this guy is just a very good poker player in so many different formats.

i like frazer, hes good banter at the table, reminds me of an old school gangster type, whose a smooth talker and a hit with the ladies. He's doen brilliantly well to market himself as a sit n go specialist when he wouldnt make profit on $55's 9 seaters. ( i would bet this btw) he's pretty good entertainment in those heats tho.

I would bet he couldn't make a profit playing the $16 9 mans on stars, in fact I would make that bet about a lot of TV "pros".

if he could 1/2 table and take his time to reach 300 $16 games i think he'd make a profit. Shall we have $50 each and ask him politely to do this :)

Lol, you are on. I doubt we could get him to do it, he is far too much to lose and little to gain.
