For some reason I watched this all the way through, even though it was rubbish and I knew exactly what was going to happen (title kind of gives the ending away).

However, the guy playing Glitter was fantastic - looked exactly like him and was really strange and creepy.

Yeah, have to agree on the praise for the acting and performance by Hilton McRae, it was top notch.

As for the programme itself, it was tabloid TV, and while some may have hoped that this would perhaps open up debate about the death penalty being re introduced, they will be disappointed.

The Execution of Gary Glitter was neither thought provoking or ground breaking television, but as Andrew said, it was compelling viewing not least for the talent of Hilton McRae.

watched the last 1/2 hour after life on bbc,thought the ending was the best bit  ;applause;

yeah this about sums it up for me. Not a patch on the Life of David Gale.
