Villain 2 raises to £50... Hero??? Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: Cf on November 14, 2009, 04:06:32 PM Don't straddle. Fold pre.
Shove now. Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: KarmaDope on November 14, 2009, 05:43:31 PM Don't straddle. Fold pre. Shove now. This. What other board do you realistically want to see with that pile of poo? Get it in now and if you're behind, then it's cold. Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: paulhouk03 on November 14, 2009, 08:22:31 PM Don't straddle. Fold pre. Shove now. Y not straddle? I think its abit of a over push I think you could just call and shove the river Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: marcin123 on November 15, 2009, 01:12:16 PM Don't straddle. Fold pre. Shove now. Lol... why not straddle... then when everybody limps,,, why not check... I folded on the turn and Villain 1 called... The river came 8c... Villain 1 checked Villain 2 shoved... assuming I was still in on the river am I calling now??? Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: MANTIS01 on November 15, 2009, 01:28:12 PM Nah, I'm completely lost now. There are 3 diamonds on the board right? We have a king of diamonds right? We also have a 4 of diamonds to go with the king of diamonds. In total we have five diamonds. That makes a flush. Holding the king means we have the second best hand available in all of poker. Why are we folding this?

Why are we folding this? Read dependant... The guy who did this I have often played with before at various Leeds casino's... He plays maybe 1/2 hands an hour,,, pretty much waiting to hit the nuts and get paid off and i honestly thought I was beat... When villain 1 passed he showed Ad but didn't show the other and wouldn't say what he had... Not sure whether my fold was correct but I went with my instincts... Title: Re: Cash game spot... No-one can ever make this read dependent fold here. And FWIW, even if this was Justin I was playing in this pot I'm not folding. As for straddling pre? That's something to do when you're drunk and fancy spewing a bit of money. It's very much a -EV play. Title: Re: Cash game spot... I would never fold this to Justin because I am beating most of Justin's raising range... Title: Re: Cash game spot... Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: titaniumbean on November 15, 2009, 02:12:38 PM is this a beat or a brag thread? wtf?
go home or dont fold. Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: marcin123 on November 15, 2009, 02:18:02 PM is this a beat or a brag thread? wtf? just wondered if i played the turn badly... Should I have called and put a blocker bet on the river... By the villain showing just the Ad... It is quite possible that he shoved A 8 on the river... go home or dont fold. Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: Cf on November 15, 2009, 02:19:17 PM Plus Charles I have seen you straddle before at Alea... If i'm ever playing cash i've usually had quite a bit to drink by that point :) Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: GreekStein on November 15, 2009, 02:19:54 PM I would suggest a few options.....
Cartwheels Fistpumps Possibly even a firework display Get it in. And straddling is fine. Title: Re: Cash game spot... On a scale of 1-10 - 1 being you played the turn very badly, 10 being you played it absolutely awfully - you score a 17 :) You simply can't go around folding the 2nd nuts to this action, no matter how tight the player. And you don't need to consider blocker bets (wtf) or any river action because we should be looking to get all the money in on the turn. Title: Re: Cash game spot... Why is your first thought that you are losing? why do you have to limit your losses, do you not like winning? Title: Re: Cash game spot... It started with, 'I assume yr not considering folding coz if he has the nuts its a cooler... raise or flat?' Title: Re: Cash game spot... Post by: GreekStein on November 15, 2009, 10:45:59 PM Another consideration is that he may open a suited Ace pre

Post by: Cottonbud on November 18, 2009, 06:55:16 PM I can't believe you folded, how can you pass here it's insane.. I thought you wanted advice on how to play the hand but you seem like you already made your decision that folding was correct and you don't need anyones advice, really bizarre.
