PKR.com are running their third live poker festival this weekend, with a two-day $1,000 buy-in Main Event on Saturday/Sunday, and a $200 Bounty tournament on Sunday. There are still a few seats remaining for both and we would warmly welcome anyone from Blonde, although you will need to open a PKR account and deposit in order to buy into either live tourno, as we can't accept cash on the day. Winnings will be paid into your PKR account. Please email pokerevents@pkr.com for more info. Title: Re: PKR's $1K event this weekend (spare seats) Post by: danski on November 17, 2009, 02:50:55 PM Sorry, it's at the Loose Cannon cardroom in London, from Saturday 21 November to Sunday night, with a private party on the Friday night for Main Event players and their partners.
The Main Event is two days, 150 runners, with an expected first prize of $35,000-$40,000. Structure is decent, with 10K chips, 40 min levels. We'll play down to the money on Saturday night (tourno starts at 1pm), and the final two tables will return on Sunday at 1pm. There will also be a $200 buy-in Bounty tournament (standard tourno but with one PKR staff bounty player on each starting table, each carrying a chipset on their heads, and who cannot win any cash), on the Sunday, starting at 2pm, I believe. You can buy directly into either or both events. We will have TV cameras (footage from the event with interviews etc, will be shown on our own PKR TV page and on pokerchannel europe), plenty of booze/food, rake-free side games, and it's unlike any other live event you wil have played.
