can anybody point me in the right direction.

my norton has expired and fear my lappy is full of viruses. 

I normally just clear it every now and again but its a pain in the arse.

i'm useless at all this stuff so would be great if somebody could do it for me!

i keep getting a 'windows security alert' from a 3rd party program, think they are trying to have me away.

oh dear its worse than i thought, cant do shit now because of this rogue program!  ffs

anti virus pro is fking me over!!!  cant download anything and it stops me opening programs.  i'm going mental!  if anybody can help pls do!

I had something similar a while ago! Cudnt connect to any poker software! Couldn't do any updates! So I saved all my stuff to a flash drive then I formatted my laptop! Worked like new after that!

Then this week my norton I'd dur to expire! Changedmy card details on their website and they kept declining it so I fcked em off and downloaded the free AVG software on a 30 day trial but if you don't want to pay after 30 days u still get the basic Internet protection!

Get a backup player for your poker tourney imo, things start grinding to a halt. Sadly AVG can't knock this thing on its head.

I paid for KasperSky and so far its seemed fine, did not cost that much and hassle free so far.
Would recommend...but i am sure others may be able to recommend something better and cheaper.

I have tried them all.  the one i ended up using for ages and had no problems or virus is Avast antivirus free version.  i also use spybot or adaware and run them every couple of week after updated to get rip of any spyware you might have.  The thing i like about avast is that i don't know that it's there. Ccleaner is good too comp is laggy, use it to clean your registry and remove cookies etc.

system restore has saved me! 

the virus (or whatever it was) was taking over every download, wouldnt let me install anything and stopping me looking at task manager etc etc. 

i couldnt even manually remove it by looking in alsorts of crazy places (ty google).

finally got rid fingers crossed, and got McAfee set up now so hopefully i'm in the clear.

Pls go to orig link, download and run all software as specified. Virus may well still be lurking/reset. Change all login passwords obv.
Still can't understand idea of online banking tbh, very convenient, but risky even with modern up to date antivirus progs.

Cheers mate, done loads of updates and completed full scans, got rid of some shit!

Online banking is safe as houses (do you like what i did there!?) if you get hacked and have upto date virus protection you are covered and wouldnt suffer financially anyway.

getting poker hacked is obv alot worse as they arent as nice as banks if you get taken advantage of by the nasty hackers.
