Title: WSOP bracelet for sale
Post by: thetank on December 11, 2005, 09:38:43 AM
Saw this in the latest edition of Cardplayer (the American one)

"If you’d like to give the ultimate poker trophy to someone who’s never earned it, head over to Pioneer Loan & Jewelry in Las Vegas. Yes, it’s a pawn shop. And, yes, it has an original 14-karat gold World Series of Poker bracelet in stock that can be yours for just $2,795.

It’s from the 1999 WSOP, and it hasn’t been engraved. (None of the bracelets are engraved for the winners; they do that on their own if they’re so inclined.) Binion’s verified the bracelet’s ownership, but Pioneer Loan will not reveal the original owner due to privacy concerns. (There were just 13 events that year, and no multiple winners, so you could narrow it down to a list of candidates.) The always explosive Mike Matusow did win an event that year, but it’s not his. He still has both of his WSOP bracelets."

If it didn't go against everything I believe in, I'd totally buy this.

the bracelet could have been gifted to someone who has pawned it. there may be more reasons than being skint for it being in there. who knows but id hate to think its stolen property thats found its way in there

mad

i'll give you 50p for it anyway who wants a girlie braclet

when i win the wsop main event in 2010 i will give the first person to offer £2.5million the girlie bracelet and gve 1% of the money to P4C

Due to the 2007 energy super crisis and the ensuing 2008 hyper inflation, £2.5million in 2010 will be the equivalent of 50p today.

Note : The buy-in to the main event will still be $10,000. This is why Ironside can afford to play in it.

Due to the nuclear war killing 99.99% of the earths inhabitants in 2009 the only other poker players left alive are Tikay and Colchester Kev. This is how Ironside manages to win it.

I was hiding up in a motorway services steak and kidney pie ... the crusts on those mothers are so tough and hard, even a nuclear bomb couldnt break through that ;)

I was thnking something similar...

Ironside was in a lead-lined lap dancing club and was provided further protection when the deadly gamma radiation was mostly absorbed by silicone implants.

as for Tikay...still open for suggestions

I think Tikay was canoodling with a cockroach, just when the cockroach rolled on top, the explosion happened and as everyone knows the cockroach could survive a nuclear explosion...  On second thoughts, if cockroaches could survive, there would be loads of cheating colluding poker players left ;)
