what's with the hh converter? stars hh are much easier to read if you don't convert them imo Title: Re: Stars tourney: A9o after limpers Post by: pleno1 on November 26, 2009, 03:24:50 PM Yeah effective stacks are horrible with this hand in this situ. If we have like 20bbs I seriously dont mind jsut jamming, but here it's a clear fold.

It's the second cheapest option available. If I've read the hand properly you're now in a 4 way pot and there's about 1300 in the middle. If you bet now I can almost guarantee that one of your 3 oppos will jam. It's a great flop for check raising with a small pair that's missed it's set. If I've hit any of that I'm jamming against the AK/AQ that I assume the original raiser has. If he happens to have an overpair good luck to him. I guess what I'm saying is don't take a stab at this 4 handed. HU yes have a go but 4 way you're going to get something thrown back aimed straight towards your eye. after raising............ that board is the easiest c-bet board ever and you take it down most of the time Title: Re: Stars tourney: A9o after limpers Post by: Cf on November 27, 2009, 04:38:48 PM I just fold pre.
I don't see any reason to raise other than to steal the limpers monies. If you are going to do this then I'd have liked to see a bigger raise, perhaps to about 400. Making it 300 is a bit too inviting and once one player calls then the rest probably do so. I'd check the flop. It's a nice cbetting board, but not into 3 other people. Turn puts us in an interesting spot. I probably call at this point due to getting about 4:1 and then see what happens on the river. Folding now we've actually hit our hand seems a bit of a waste, and I don't see any value in raising. |
