Instead of the Newcastle win, I think no Swansea goalscorer at 7/5 is a much better bet. We've only conceded 4 at home all season in 8 games and Swansea have only scored 6 away from home and are the joint lowest away scorers.

The daftest thing is the defence is still making basic mistakes it's just you don't get punished when you make a mistake in this league,we've made 3/4 basic errors in defence in most games but like i say you just don't get punished anywhere near as much.

Looks a good bet so obv swansea will score at least 2 :)

I am not sure I like us at 11/10 at Carlisle, this isn't an easy match for us. I have said before that Carlisle I think are better than their league position and we were slightly fortunate to win at Carlisle in the league (won 1-0).

Having said that we are injury free just about and have brought in 2 loan signing in positions we were lacking this week a rb and a winger with some pace. McNamee the winger is cup tied I believe.

Basically he is home sick and Norwich is too far from the North west, where he has spent all his life. Tbh the couple of times I saw him play earlier this season he was very mediocre, he asked Lambert to go on loan to a club closer to home and Lambert agreed.

Price has gone now but BF still have a market.  Chester's players have walked out and will be playing their youth team against Eastbourne on Saturday. None of the firms are betting on the match anymore.

I managed to get 7/5 on the exchane but it still might be worth a bet on Eastbourne at around evens IMO.

I thought I had found a gem but it turns out Spartans have moved away from their 'slanty'pitch to a brand new one which will take away the home advantage they have had over the years in the Scots cup games.

I still think they could be ok at 11/4 at home to Forfar. Edunburgh City look a big price at 2/1 too as their league is always under rated and they would beat many teams fro the Highland league. At the prices I have to have al ittle n Hull City to win at Man City, i know they will probably get beaten but their form has got a little better and they are 12/1, i dont mind taking my chance at that price.

Any thoughts on those Scottish games Iron?

keith should be too strong for city, afiak city are struggling in a much weaker league, keith all thought not the best are a reasonable highland league side. saying that i have been in bed since bB8 so havent heard who is playing weel and who isnt in the highland league this year.

oh i have to agree about hull i pointed that out on the midweek bookie basher thread

3 decent fancies, 1 small fancy:

Tottenham
away at Villa @ 3.05.
I made Spurs slight underdogs @ like 2.7, 3.05 is too big, although it does scare me that Ironside is also on.
Spurs draw no bet looks tempting @ 2.2, will decide between that and the win bet.

Stockport at home to Torquay @ 2.06.
2nd from bottom in League One take on 3rd from bottom in League Two. Ive seen both teams on TV this season and Stockport should have too much at home for Torquay, and Nicholas Bignall is expected to make his return from injury, a striker who i rate a little bit. Stockport are in terrible form, but Torquay are a bad bad team and i rate Stockport value. I made them 1.84.

Bristol City at home to Sheff Utd @ 2.34.
Bristol Citys home form reads, played 8, won 5, drawn 3. They come up against a Sheff Utd side who were very lucky to scrape a 1-0 home victory against basement boys Peterborough last week and before that had not won in 8 games. They have a couple of players back from injury, and have made a couple of average loan signings. I made City just about evens. Strong side at home, very strong.

Treble plays 12.4/1 with 365, 12.2/1 with WillHill.

The slight fancy is:

Scunthorpe
at home to Leicester @ 3.55.
Ive been backing Leicester all season away from home and i rate them hard to beat for sure, but Scunthorpe have got 0 injuries now with Hayes and Hooper returning to lead the line last week, and despite losing 3-0 and 4-1 in recent weeks away, with the home scalps of Newcastle, Sheff Utd and Preston this season already in the bag, coupled with the fact that Leicester last week struggled to break down a poor Plymouth side last week, eventually netting the 1-0 winner in the 94th minute, i made Scunny more like 3.1 shots.

Thoughts Tighty/Pelham??

4 folds pays like 42/1 so gotta have a few quid on that aswell, gogo.

I think you have summed it up well mate. We are tough to beat and i will be disappointed if we lose, but 3.55 is a decent price. I wont be joining you though!

Bristol City great bet. Sheff U don't have a strong squad, witness recent loan signings, and Blackwell is on his way soon I think

Fulham yes, but I don't think tis value as such, pretty well reflected by the price.

Scunthorpe have never beaten Leicester, strange but true.

I think a low scoring draw is likely, though Hooper and Hayes their best players do make them a much better team

Personally don't like Spurs much at Villa and fancy a random punt on Wigan at best price 7/4 to beat Sunderland

Sheff Utd are in poor form and will play the usual 11 6 foot 4 slow 15 stoners all over the park, we might aswell stick Geoff Capes in there too.

Ive bet Hull at 9/1 draw no bet

Spartans at 14/5

Edinburgh City at 2/1

had a sneaky 27 correct score trebles too

Spartans 2-1 3-1 3-2
Edinburgh City 2-0,2-1,3-1
Hull 2-2,2-1,3-2

Will need the wheelbarrow if that wins ;o)

gl all

My mate fancies Wigan big time and hes pretty shrood.

I personally dont have the balls required to back a team that lost 9-1 last week but i should probs grow a pair, i can see them winning.

Stockport's FA Cup second round match against Torquay has been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

1. Their price without last week's debacle would be shorter than 7/4 (6/4 in most places)? I think so. 5/4 maybe

2. They have double motivation to perform this week, in front of their own fans?

3. Wigan are unbeaten last four at home, Sunderland are a poor away side, won 1 of their last 16 away, Bent so-so fitness

I think its an interesting bet

Often seems to happen that way, a player gets booed and they end up playing a key part in the game.  Can't say I like the man, but he's the best English left-back by a million miles and going forward he's shown his class today.

Drogba has shown what a fantastic player he is when he concentrates on playing rather than the other side of his game.  On his day he's almost unplayable.

I went to the Peterboro game yesterday and your bet was certainly a good value loser despite Boro going in front twice.  One thing to bear in mind when betting Peterboro' at home is that a lot of the bigger championship clubs haven't had a game where they can stand on terraces for years and, yesterday at least, it was a big draw and Middlesbrough took a lot more fans and created a better atmosphere than I have heard at a Boro away game for a couple of years.  If this is replicated with other clubs it might lessen Posh's home advantage a little.

On another note, Middlesbrough would have lost that game 2-0 a couple of weeks ago because they never had anyone of Kitsons quality to finish those kind of chances....they might improve from here on in although yesterday was still poor goalscoring has been the real problem.
