Title: A load of old Bollox
Post by: The Camel on December 03, 2009, 12:17:13 PM

I mean, how can the BBC make this a lead story?

It is the height of hypocrisy to shout abuse at an opposing manager and his team and then shake his hand afterwards.

Hat's off to Wenger for saying: "I think I have nothing to say. I am free to shake hands with whom I want after the game."

Another Wenger winge... It's professional to shake hands with the other team manager whatever happens... Players get over squabbles so why can't he...

It was actually Mark Hughes who was doing the whingeing, just as you are now..

Agree with Wenger for once. Hughes is a good young manager (as he was a good player) but also a cock just like when he was a player.

Found Hughes beyond the pale when he was shouting at the top of his voice to have a player sent off.

Can you imagine what he would have to say about an opposition player waving an imaginary card at the ref to get one of his players done.

Fair play to ignore him at the end imo, maybe a bit childish from Wenger but fair enough

Actually, almost no one in football exhibits any kind of sportsmanship , rarer than a piece of broccoli on one of your dinner pics

Obv, there are plenty of people that I wouldnt shake hands with, but in this context, ie 2 Premiership managers, just shake hands at the final whistle ffs ... then go and kick seven shades of shit out of each other in the board room ... simples.

If I was in Wenger's shoes I'd be more likely to chin Hughes than shake his hand last night. Fair play to Wenger imo.

To be fair it must have been hard for Wenger to see both his first team and his world-beating kids both embarrassed within 4 days of each other.
