About 30 minutes ago, I couldn't connect at all, but now it seems to be fine. I'm in the West Midlands, but I wasn't getting any problems with any other sites.

I have asked our new Web Guys to take a look at this problem, to see if it's "our end".

Us techys goto bed a lot earlier than u guys, so I've only just seen this.  It would be unlikely to be our end, as that should affect everyone. It is difficult for us now to work out what happened.  I'll have a go tonight and see if I can find anything.

freeserve (or what ever they call it now) is based and has alot of its hardware in the same compound as total in which the adamM had his ciggie although this going down wont cause major problems is could cause small problems like this because even though you might not be on freeserve you might use freeserve as a hop

well i'm Tiscali so i don't see the relevance?
Bundle i'm only running 3 progs, the icons are on the quick launch task bar!!
I have never had a problem with broadband, ever (touches wood) and didn't have one last night, it was definitely Blonde related as everything else was working fine.

I even tried this last night and was running at 566

because one of the hops you might have taken to get from tiscali to blonde could have been via freeserve in hemel

after a few minutes it would have looked for a new route

My problem only related to blonde too, I am on Blueyonder and everything else worked absolutely fine.

Title: Re: Midlands problem?
Post by: Ironside on December 12, 2005, 07:13:17 PM
dik most sites and programs you use would not go via hemel but your visits to blonde might the net is a series of hops steps and jumps and each one needs to connect to the other and they usaully pick the fastest route but if for some reason a hop on that route is down it gives you an error while it goes off an looks for a new route

I had a different message than IFM, for 2 hours last night it said the web page I was trying to visit may be experiencing a few difficulties please refresh or try again later. All seems fine now though :D
