The Two Billionth Hand Promotion will reach its end in a few hours, once the 2,000,000,000 Hand ID is dealt. We have already passed hand ID 1,999,190,000, and with a bit more than 800,000 hands to go, we expect the hand to be played during the evening hours.

 

Please make sure your players are notified that the Two Billionth Hand is approaching. Please also note that as per the promotion’s T&C, any player sitting out will not be entitled for the bonus.

Two Billionth Hand Prizes
♠ The winner of the two billionth hand will be entitled to a $60,000 worth prize, consisting of:
• A WSOP 2010 Main Event package. ($13,000 Worth).
• An Irish Open 2010 package. (Over $7,000 worth).
• A $40,000 cash prize.
♠ The winner will also be entitled to the following, on top of his 2 billionth hand prizes and regular
hand win:
The winner will split the participants’ cash prize.
The winner of the two billionth hand will receive a ticket to the Monthly Million
Guaranteed Tournament on January 10th, 2010. (Value of $535).
In addition, if the two billionth hand will be dealt no later than December 5th 2009 at
23:59 GMT, the winner of the two billionth hand will also receive a ticket to the ECOOP
V Main Event, on December 6th, 2009. (Value of $1,580).
The winner of the two billionth hand will also participate in the bubble hands freeroll, as
described below.
♠ Participants of the two billionth hand will split a $40,000 cash prize.

Bubble Hands Monthly Million Bounty Freeroll
The participating players of the last 100 hands preceding and including the two billionth hand, hands:
1,999,999,901 – 2,000,000,000, will participate in the bubble hands freeroll. The freeroll will feature 20
tickets to the monthly million guaranteed tournament in January (Jan 10th). In addition, the two billionth
hand winning player will have a $2,000 bounty in this tournament.
♠ The winning player (1st place) of the bounty freeroll which eliminates the two billionth hand
winner will win both the monthly million guaranteed token and the $2,000 bounty.
♠ In case that the two billionth hand winning player will also win the bubble freerool he will be
entitled to the bounty.
♠ The bubble freeroll will take place on a Sunday; at least a full week after the two billionth hand
is dealt. The exact date and time will be announced by iPoker after the two billionth hand is
dealt.
♠ The bounty player will have his nickname changed for the duration of the tournament, in order
to accommodate an identifier of this bounty.

8.12.2009 I was 10 tabling hu on 25c/50c and 50c/1$ trying to hit the 2 billionth hand and i managed to hit it
i had 4 high but he folded

Anyway the PROBLEM is im on betfold,which apparently was not part of the "network wide promotion" as it was promoted in media all over inter for example pokernews.

I GOT the pop up in front of chatbox saying
"congratzulations for 2 billionth hand go website for more information" not word to word but something along those lines.

I tried to alt+printscr screenshot the popup but i was 10 tabling and i only managed to screenshot myself sitting out and the pop up left after a while.
There is nothing about skin not participating in promotion in the terms and conditions

After hitting the hand i immidietly sent them email after they answered me 19 hours later "We apologize for late reply.
Regarding your email, I have forward your email to our poker team to get more info regarding this promo. We will get back to you shortly. Have a nice day " after that I havent received anything from betfold.

After that ive been talking about my situation with lots of people and everybody seemed to agree that making this public on 2+2 is just burning bridges with betfold and
not good for my situation. I should have ignored those comments and just post it here earlier,now it might be too late. Ive send email to ipoker from playtech.com. And my friends have tried to reach them (Ipoker) various ways
so I assume they know about my situation.

Any help? Opinions?

How can a skin not be apart of this promo?. Looks like the skins going bust but surely ipoker have to honour this?

I don't know the facts of this case, or this skin, but each individual skin has the option to participate or not in promotions such as this. If the skin chose not to participate....

We chose to opt into this one

The way it works is that each promotion costs a certain amount. The network provides for part of the cost of each, and we are informed of the amount. The remainder is covered by the participating rooms, pro-rated according to their gross rake. For us, a tiny skin, this figure rarely exceeds a few hundred dollars at most

Clearly the judgement each room has to make is

a) Is this likely to be a popular promotion?

b) Is the amount of extra rake that it is going to generate for us going to exceed the promotional cost?

We have not participated in a few promos in the past, and the games associated with that promo simply do not appear in our lobby

Ok makes sense,ipoker obv keeps the $$ for winners on skins not taking part?, so this guy has no complaints because the skin did not promote/opt in.

Poor guys lost out on $60k but on the other hand he,s got a 45% rb deal, oops

I also would think that if they opted out they might inform their players bforehand, but again I am speculating

he does have a case if, as he says, ipoker promoted it as being network wide

I doubt they did though, at least not without some small print somewhere
