That's been in the news for a while now.  New season supposed to be towards the end of this year.

Think it's running from September - December. Can't remember where but I read an interview with the producers saying it's gonna pick up straight from the end of S4. Think they mentioned Dexter having the kids which suprised me. I assumed they introduced the grandparents in the finale as an excuse to get rid of them.

I'm a little bit behind but I've finally seen the end of season 4. Awesome finale.

I couldn't wait for season 5 so I've finally joined the downloading masses and got season 5 up to ep7 to watch over the next few days.

Looking forward to it.

Ep 1 for me was basically part 2 of the season 4 finale. Next few eps take a while to get going but still good viewing. Seems they've got the rest of the season set up now.

Yeah. Watched 1 & 2 and like you say they're just links between the series. Kind of a clean up so we know what's happening.

Now the kids are gone Dexter can hopefully start killing people again and avoiding the FBI.

They haven't announced that this is the last one. There's still plenty of places they can take the series imo so unless they get fed up of it I don't see why it'll end any time too soon.

After a promising start, this new season of Dexter is fast becoming a parody of itself, last weeks episode was laughable.

This season of Dexter is getting daft now. Trailer for the finale looks ridic epic.

If they go the route of having him explain his way out of it then I think they'll totally ruin it. They almost had done with this season, but they managed to save it and get me excited for the next one.

I read ZOMG sick before watching and thought the kid was going to die, then they go and top even that happening, will be incred next season.

At least Deb will fade telling him she's in love with him

It was still good but I think it easily the worst series of Dexter. I'd worked out the Geller twist quite early on so was annoyed that it got dragged so long. And the whole storyline felt like it went for ages. Should have been done after 6 eps with the rest of it focusing on intern/ITK hand.

Ending was deffo good tho.

I enjoyed the season. Perhaps it wasn't as good as the others, but it was still good. The new bad guy is obviously going to be the intern. He will prove to be Dexter's greatest adversary. I read somewhere that the actor playing Deb is going to be cutting back her involvement with the show. Hopefully that isn't true and she will continue to be in every episode. Apart from Jessica in True-Blood, she is my biggest TV star crush,  lol.

I see on IMDB that there's going to be a new season, hopefully we won't have to wait a year for it.  I think the guy that's put a review up has his episodes mixed  up though.

Same time next year it'll be and they've green lit seasons 7&8 so there are at least 2 more coming.
