Title: Joining the G2L club! Post by: outragous76 on December 21, 2009, 11:27:13 AM Ok - well most people know that my Monte Carlo event didnt go too well - and just like my, Irish Deep Stacks, Irish Open and most other live events this year my demise was ill fated!
HOWEVER - Laurence Gosney is always around when Im recalling my bad beat stories - and he likes to remind me that I am 'always' doing it! I hate to be seen as a whinger - and i know we all go through it - so Im going to try and stiffen the bottom lip (and also get it in bad much more often) I quite like the Middy approach of just saying "Aces" (although what he usually means is that he 5 bet his 73o into Aces :D ) So from now on I am just going to use the following code: Losing a: 50/50 - standard 60/40 - fairly standard 70/30 - meh you know 80/20 - yeah! one of them <10% - he made a good call <5% - pretty much outplayed Eg: "you out" "yeah" "how" "pretty much outplayed" I will then obvioulsy retire to the nearest car park and kill a stray cat.................. but in 2010 and beyond - I no longer tell bad beat stories!
