Title: live missclick in cash game. How would you proceed
Post by: dakky on January 03, 2010, 06:56:05 PM
Hi

I made a small mistake last night playing cash where I mistook £25 chips as £1. Never played at the place before and used to white chips being £1!

£1/£2 game. My first or second hand. 5 handed I think.
My stack £200
SB covers

UTG I make it £6 with Ahrt 5h.

4-way to the flop including the SB, but not the BB

5c 2d 2s SB check, I bet £60 (instead of 12)

folds to SB he flats?!

Turn  9h checked to me. What's your action here? I check it back confused.

River is  7s i think. SB leads £80

call or fold. Bet the turn or what?

Arrgh

Protest away on the flop and you might find that they'll be nice and let you change your bet.

As played check turn, fold river.

Yea I folded river.

It just irked me because he led me to believe that he figured the £60 was a "go-away" bet (lol like i would bet 2.5x pot into 3 people) and called me with a bare 5. But I call BS and think he was trying to get under my skin: why would he possibly bet the river with that?

def bs. live players use this retarded logic all the time to make you think somehow you got outplayed.

unlucky about the bet. 100% good fold.

Made a similar mistake at DTD.  George saw it unfold as he was stood behind me.

£1/2 cash game, I'm in the small blind with 8c 4c and there's a straddle and about 5 callers.  So I want to call as well and throw in a £1 chip and a £2 chip (blue) to go with the £1 already in there.  Unfortunately, I threw in a £25 chip (black) instead of a £2 one.

I got two callers.

The flop came 4s 8d 6h - and that's not bad for my hand.  Unfortunately, when the money flew in, one of the other callers had 7c 5c and all George could say behind me was "sick, sick, so sick".  I didn't argue.

In this case I fold by the way.

Was that the one where you induced the calls by telling people over and over that you'd thrown in the wrong chips?

Aye.  Nearly worked.
