That's not even a comedy slowroll.

The best one was in the WSOP this year when the 90 year old had 88 vs 87 on an 877 board.

As the commentator put it this one was just retarded.

LOL - genius.

How could Nick Wealthall not applaud a) the comedy of such an epic slowroll and b) going out of your way to deliberately waste a gimmicky piece of crap like the timeout in a TV donkament on a joke.

Fantastic.

The worse bit about that piece for me is Wealthall using the word 'Retarded' in a TV broadcast.  It is bad enough having to put up with that childish comment in online chatboxes without him spouting it on TV.

...off soap box

Pathetic by the germans they should be banned from the football World Cup this year !

I think the saying goes -'treat people as you expect to be treated' if this happened to me I would of been seriously annoyed, but I personally would never do this to another player.
Just find this sort of thing pointless and cringe worthy more than anything. Shows a lack of class imo.

Last year none of the teams were really bothering with the timeouts and the production staff kept urging us to use them for anything, hence I think the Russian team used it to down shots or something. Maybe it was the same again and this German kid suddenly thought of this piece of comedic genius

depends on where the TV broadcast is aimed

as much as i hate the word in the US market it doesnt have the same conitations as it has in the UK

in the UK using a word like handicapped it relation to a disabled person is offensive

but in the USA it is the norm and they would never use the word disabled as we do

He's English.  I didn't hear him talking in an American accent and using other Americanisms.

I thought it was great, slowrolls should be encouraged and it might even stop everyone falling asleep at live poker tables.

Yeah, but only between friends. Slowrolling a complete stranger in this manner is just being a twat.

The best thing about the hand is the German slowroll, the fact the hand takes about 3 mins to even get back to the German makes me pretty much kill everyone at the table.
