Title: Iphone 3G or Iphone 3G-S? Post by: Scottish Dave on January 17, 2010, 05:25:48 PM Got a deal from my work where i get 30% off my tarrif if i sign up to o2, so going in tomorrow to get an Iphone
Been looking at the deals online and notice that the tarrif's for the 3G and the 3G-S are the same except the 3G is free and the 3G-S is £100 up front. Obviously the 3G-S is better, but how much better and will i really be disappointed with just the 3G? as i don't fancy paying £100 up front. Never had an Iphone before, so what should i do: 3G (8GB) for free or 3G-S (16GB) for £100 up front? Title: Re: Iphone 3G or Iphone 3G-S? Post by: Cf on January 17, 2010, 06:24:40 PM I've never had a 3G but from what I hear the 3GS is a notable improvement. Everything on my 3GS is really fast and slick. I think it'd spoil the experience a lot if this wasn't the case. And £100 up front isn't all that much when you add up the total cost of the contract. 3GS I reckon.

Little things like copy and pasting...i dont think that was available on the 3G but makes a hell of a difference! Its like buying a car and not getting he extras on it i guess! Post by: Rupert on January 18, 2010, 09:28:28 AM I had a 3g and now have a 3gs and the improvement isnt a great deal. 3gs is certainly a bit faster for loading websites etc. Pretty sure the 3.0 software had c+p support for the 3g too?
