Title: £1/£3 - live game
Post by: L33B0Y on January 25, 2010, 12:45:36 PM
Playing a £550 stack, Sat down with 1k, Which is pretty average in this game, some of you may know it in Southend, certain players sit with 1k - 2k.

Young fella at the table, won a few hundred playing roulette, bit shaky but seem's to know what is going on has come sat down to my direct left and sadly I couldnt fold a over pair (QQQ) on a not connecting board too pay him off for a double up 2 hands in.

In a hand on the BB with  4d 4h

The pot has been straddled to £6 and I make it £22 to, called from the SB (young fella) and the Straddle (jonny gayle) some people may know him. John like's 2 play anything that connect's and that is suited. God know's on the young fella as we're only about 25 minutes in and never played with him before.

Flop comes'  4c Js Ts

SB Checks, Jonny bet's out £50 (which is something Ill tell you he will do with a draw or over pair) at this point I think about making it £180 but I bottle it and I smooth call and so does the the young bloke...

Turn comes a  Ahrt

SB tut's and checks (KK I'm guessing), Jonny bet's out £130

What line do I play here? It's quite easy to put Jonny on JJ, TT, AA, KQ for the straight or possibly the 2 random spades but then again, he could just be massively at it, 2 pair etc

What is your normal line here?

Do you know anyone by the name of Jack Kershaw by any chance?

your post is a lil confusing because you say you open to £22 from the bb, but we're 3 handed vs a sb and a straddler... and on the flop the sb checks and the straddler acts before us????

in any case, of all the flops this would be one i would happily reraise the villain on for value. it is way too draw heavy to play our strong but potentially vulnerable hand this passively 3 handed imo.

i dont understand? i bottle out of 5b jams and triple barrels, correct me if im wrong but u have a set on a wet board?

If i play it your way (to induce action/bluffs by underrepping my hand) then i call the turn also.

Are you rolled for this game? Why do you "bottle it"?

Also you say he may be "massively at it with two pair" he is most likely betting for value so not really "at it"/ Why do you put the guy on KK? He c/c the flop and then c/f the turn.

Raise the flop/get it in, as played  make it 300 and then get it in.
