Haha thought this thread had died as people were afraid to look stupid by actually being interested in this sort of thing. Come on guys don't be shy personally I find all space related things fascinating especially the unknown. I think I saw a spaceship once but I didn't stick around to find out for sure. bottled it and ran indoors as I didn't wanna get kidnapped

If this is true I have a similar story as to when I was 12 was seen by Mum and Sister too, It was bright and the weirdest orange colour, oval shaped it was huge just above the houses in my street it was at about 10pm at night. I stood outside for about 10mins watching it before shitting myself and running indoors too! I have been fascinated by them ever since. I think if I didn't see one, I would never of been interested in them.

yeah, it's true. when I was still living with the folks in the middle of the country I saw a weird lit up object coming in over the fields. once it got close I decided I'd rather go inside than get anally probed so no idea what it actually was

Its funny cos its been 12 years and I've never seen anything like it since! Now I'm older I know I wouldn't be afraid to catch it on film with today's technology it's so much easier to capture things like it on tape. If I ever see anything again I'm not missing the opportunity to record it!

Whilst I am sceptical as to the validity of most if not all of the supposed sightings by man, I think it would be incredibly naive to believe we are the only intelligent life form in the entire Universe.

Lol. Each to their own I guess :). I personally don't believe in alot of the stuff but the video recordings I find very interesting and any evidence like that. I don't believe in the crop circles etc, that video made by that guy with the alien at the window seems really fake too. Along with the wacky people sending out radio waves lol.

When I was about 5 or 6

 I remember sitting in the back of the car and I noticed we were being followed by a white ball very close to the ground.
 It followed us  everywhere we went and did not catch us up or get left behind.

I told Dad we were being chased by a white Ball, and he said it was only the Moon.

It hid behind a cloud after that,  guess it must of seen me looking at it.

Mum always said to never look at the Sun, maybe that chases people as well

I never trusted Stars and Moons after that, they should not be allowed to chase people

Pretty Interesting. But me and my Dad always had our own theories on the subject. We believe that couldn't it be more likely that Aliens were infact evolved humans from the future, that could travel back in time. Most people would be like "Wow! What are you talking about travel back in time?". But if you really think about it. What would an evolved human look like whose planet had been destroyed over thousands of years and the only way of survival was to travel in Space.

1) Hairless. As we wear clothes we would no longer need alot of body hair to keep us warm
2) Pale or Grey skinned - due to lack of sunlight and Vitamin D
3) Skinny body shape no muscles and weak looking - where manual labour was no longer required we would have a skinnier body type.
4) Huge Brain/Head - Brain would be used alot more rather than the body perhaps we would be telepathic in the future.

Pretty much all these features are found in the most commonly mentioned alien sighting that alien abductees claim etc. These are known as the 'Greys' Picture below. These sort of faces are also found carved and painted into walls in Egyptian times along with other cultures from thousands of years ago.

Now for the time travel. Albert Einstein the German genius. Claimed that the faster we travel the slower time would go. If we could slow down time maybe we could even reverse time. Think of how advanced our travel systems will be in thousands of years time. Its an interesting and scary thought. Another theory are wormholes see the vid below...

Hmm, i think there is a strong possibility of aliens. I read a book when I was 15 which basically was the bible but the 3 wise men followed a ufo not a star etc. The book was pretty good but cant remember its name. I dont believe in god and think its more likely that aliens exsist than god

But time travel? Surely if someone in say 3010 invents time travel would they not have came back to 2010 to tell us about it?

Yeah I've heard about that before, sounds interesting. Hmm, as for time travel I guess if it were that simple Aliens would tell us they exist too (If they do)!

Erm, travel back in time?  Can you explain the physics that will make this possible please?  Travel forward in time - yes, I get that.  Back??  (This obviously doesn't include going to Merthyr Tydfil).

Of course with the billions of galaxies in the known universe, it's very unlikely that this insignificant rock should be the only one to have life on it.  Intelligent life is also pretty likely to have appeared elsewhere in the universe in one of the billions of galaxies over the past 13 billion years or so.

However, the likelihood of such life then being close enough to us in terms of distance, and also developing at the same time as we're around is actually pretty slim - so unlikely we'll meet any aliens. 

The Sun is about 93 million miles from the earth. The star nearest to the Sun is Proxima Centauri. Proxima Centauri is 4.3 light-years from the Sun or over 25 million million miles, which is 270,000 times greater than the distance between the earth and the sun.  So it would take light 4.3 years to travel that distance, at the erm... speed of light.  The space ships we have would take about 10,000 years to travel a light year.  The other bad news is that Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf, so unlikely to support any life in its solar system.  So we'd have to go to one further out, and therefore even further away.

Not going to happen in our life-time then.
