Title: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: TightEnd on February 05, 2010, 02:57:23 PM England v Wales 5pm tomorrow Twickenham
Wales 6/4, 7/4 in the odd place This is I think the wrong price, certainly England are not a 8/15 shot. Wales are a mature, successful team full of experience. England have never fired under Johnson, are short of class in key areas and seem to want to go expansive, despite no successful track record of doing so. Wilkinson v S Jones is a wash in the kicking department, but Wales are a stronger team and will create more scoring opportunities It might be close, but I think Wales are excelelent value at anything over 5/4. Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: Josedinho on February 05, 2010, 03:30:51 PM Yeh it think it would have been an even game with Flutey playing but without him i probably make Wales favourites.
Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: DUNK619 on February 05, 2010, 03:32:50 PM i agree with most of what you say but dont agree the kicking is a wash. Wilkinson is a better kicker at goal but jones is a better kicker out of hand imo
Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: TightEnd on February 05, 2010, 03:34:16 PM i agree with most of what you say but dont agree the kicking is a wash. Wilkinson is a better kicker at goal but jones is a better kicker out of hand imo plus Hook for the long range stuff. We can agree to disagree, I don't think Jones loses much to Wilkinson at all Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: kinboshi on February 05, 2010, 03:34:50 PM Which way is Dave betting?

Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: TightEnd on February 05, 2010, 05:45:52 PM Don't the welsh have both props out and other injuries Wales were odds on, then lost their first choice prop and hooker. England then lost Flutey. I think Wales are still odds on. Apologies in advance Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: jizzemm on February 05, 2010, 06:20:08 PM wales currently 9/5 on betfair
Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: Longy on February 05, 2010, 08:26:07 PM Just got 2.88 on betfair, don't really care for rugby union so betting on Wales is no issue for me.

Thought England were poor, but Wales were sloppy too often. At 20-17 with 3 minutes left thought Wales might just nick it Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: gatso on February 06, 2010, 07:06:53 PM sublime stuff from tait at the end, best play of the game

both teams made far too many mistakes but the scots made the vital ones Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: thediceman on February 13, 2010, 03:59:03 PM What an amazing game.
Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: gatso on February 13, 2010, 04:01:58 PM interesting decision by the welsh to kick crossfield when the game was tied and 80 minutes on the clock. if the bounce goes wrong scotland kill the game and take the tie. surely much better to just run against 13 men
Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: doubleup on February 13, 2010, 04:02:35 PM what an incredible finish both teams made far too many mistakes but the scots made the vital ones So your'e down to fcking 13 men and if the clock stops its a draw so instead of kickin off into touch you give it to the opposition. Flannery has just kicked through a french men. Should be a red imo and he's not even got a yellow - TJ bottled it and said "just a shoulder" was used ie tackle without using the arms. Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: gatso on February 13, 2010, 05:37:22 PM shocking decision. there's no way that's ever anything but a red and no way the officials could not have seen it

Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: TightEnd on March 13, 2010, 06:58:31 PM England are brain dead, no leaders/thinkersand I think very poorly coached.
Scotland less talented, but give it everything. Slowly recvoering after years of being rubbish Ireland/Wales was a far better game Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: Woodsey on March 13, 2010, 07:02:34 PM What an anticlimax.....
Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: lazaroonie on March 13, 2010, 07:50:15 PM England are brain dead, no leaders/thinkersand I think very poorly coached. Scotland less talented, but give it everything. Slowly recvoering after years of being rubbish Ireland/Wales was a far better game found thr scrummaging battle utterly absorbing. but im sad like that. I think scotland are close to being halfway decent. had to laugh at the commentators wondering why the english players would be so indisciplined, then it cut to a shot of martin johnston, at which point i blurted out, he made a fkin career out of it, thats why !!!! Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: TightEnd on March 13, 2010, 08:03:26 PM There is absolutely no evidence that Johnson is a coach/manager/selector
Granted he lacks talent at some positions, but we simply are not coached right. The number of basic errors is scandalous too Scotland, with less to pick from, are at least going in the right direction Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: Josedinho on March 13, 2010, 08:09:27 PM Why does Tait play for England? We'd be better off with Cueto or a 3rd Flanker in his position.
Foden looked alright though. Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: TightEnd on March 13, 2010, 08:13:46 PM Why does Tait play for England? We'd be better off with Cueto or a 3rd Flanker in his position. Foden looked alright though. Tait is suspect defensively, but has attacking flair. Problem is its the same as Flutey so in midfield we misss a lot of tackles, by far the most of any 6N team Foden and Youngs, and Geragthy for that matter, are talented but inexperienced but as we should be getting them ready for the 2011 WC they need to be playing now not seeing the way blocked by the likes of Danny Care, Armitage (woefully out of form) and Tait who will always flatter to deceive Up front he insists on picking Dylan Hartley who can't throw straight, Borthwick a skipper who doesn't lead, Easter the least mobile No 8 in the 6N I could go on. I am going on. Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: Woodsey on March 13, 2010, 08:25:52 PM There is absolutely no evidence that Johnson is a coach/manager/selector Granted he lacks talent at some positions, but we simply are not coached right. The number of basic errors is scandalous too Scotland, with less to pick from, are at least going in the right direction I don't have a problem with Johnson as manager per se, however he deffo needs to look a surrounding himself with a team that would be more effective at coaching the backs and implementing some better tactics. Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: NoflopsHomer on March 13, 2010, 08:31:12 PM The Scots scrum seems to be their weak point which was why they tended to be collapsing it a lot, solid back line though and certainly not as bad as the 6N results reflect.
England were poor, but saved by some good tackling. Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: thediceman on March 13, 2010, 08:36:15 PM I'm less concerned with the Englands backs as I think the main problem is with the forwards. Getting hold of some decent ball would be a start. We have pace with the backs but if the aren't given the opportunity it doesn't really matter chopping and changing those players. Englands previous success has been based on dominating the forward game and good discipline. Both of these are sadly missing with the current team.
Title: Re: Six Nations Rugby Bet Post by: lazaroonie on March 14, 2010, 08:02:40 PM The Scots scrum seems to be their weak point which was why they tended to be collapsing it a lot, solid back line though and certainly not as bad as the 6N results reflect.
