Title: Unusual Suspects in Helsinki Post by: Royal Flush on December 15, 2005, 12:15:44 AM Well, we're here and play the €2,000 Helsinki Freezeout tomorrow, but tonight we played the first round of heads up matches. Good structure - 5,000 starting chips, 30 minute clock and blinds of 25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 150/300 and capped at 200/400.
I played JP and lost :( I played like a fish and let him walk all over me...it was all over in an hour. Jen and John's match lasted slightly longer and John eventually prevailed. So, going into tomorrow's big one the points are standing at John 53 pts JP 50 pts James 49 pts Jen 47 pts Now all I have to do is out Scandie the Scandies.... Title: Re: Unusual Suspects in Helsinki Post by: tikay on December 15, 2005, 12:17:30 AM Good Luck to all of the Unusual Suspects, but, excuse my bias, especiially Jen.
See you later today. (Thursday).! Title: Re: Unusual Suspects in Helsinki Post by: Royal Flush on December 15, 2005, 12:30:41 AM That was Jon by the way!!
I played an intresting game with JP, its hard enough to play this guy as it is, but he was getting cards aswell!! I went down to 1500 got back to 4500 then made a move and he had a hand, this is not a "well he got cards i was card dead" rant as he probably would have beaten me had the cards been reversed! Title: Re: Unusual Suspects in Helsinki Post by: tikay on December 15, 2005, 12:33:40 AM Thought it was a bit odd to hear Flushy say "he walked all over me"......! Title: Re: Unusual Suspects in Helsinki Post by: suzanne on December 15, 2005, 03:56:59 PM Does anyone know what mex/mexico/platy real name is? I am sure he was going to this and I was wondering how he is getting on?
Title: Re: Unusual Suspects in Helsinki Post by: Ginger on December 15, 2005, 05:40:48 PM Mex's real name escapes me right now, I'll ask James when he next calls.
Tikay is out, as is John (Tikay donated his chips to JP having 2 pair while JP had a set) James has been up and down also, he got doubled to 40k+ when someone thought their bottom pair was good lol. Latest text says he has just lost a massive pot, and is back down to 26k. Any updates that I get, I will put on the Live section. |
