Title: Fast Food Places Post by: TheChipPrince on February 16, 2010, 12:56:28 PM Saw a well-dressed middle aged guy telling his 4/5 year old son to ''leave the tray there, let them clear it up''.
Thoughts? Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: EvilPie on February 16, 2010, 01:04:47 PM His son's going to grow up to be an arrogant prick.
Just like his dad. Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: Geo the Sarge on February 16, 2010, 01:09:10 PM His son's going to grow up to be an arrogant prick. Just like his dad. My thoughts exactly Geo Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: RED-DOG on February 16, 2010, 01:17:02 PM I always clear my tray.
The employees are doing a menial job for a basic wage, rather than claim benefit. Good on them I say. I'm glad to help. Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: LeKnave on February 16, 2010, 01:24:26 PM Ha, me and trigg have this debate often. i always clear it for good karma. he says if every1 cleared them then they wouldn't need to employ as many ppl so ur costing someone a job, aka terrible karma.
pretty sure im right though. Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: GreekStein on February 16, 2010, 01:27:01 PM yeah clear your tray. It's not hard.
Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: kinboshi on February 16, 2010, 01:28:01 PM Always try to clean my tray, unless the bin's overflowing and then someone needs to pull their socks up.
Saying that though, I don't wash my own dishes in a restaurant. Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: StuartHopkin on February 16, 2010, 01:35:43 PM Meh sometimes i do, sometimes I dont. Who cares.
If anyone ever pulls me up for not cleaning up then 'Im promoting employment' If everyone cleared up, the shifty looking cleaner loses his job, goes home and beats his missus, spends the last of his money on beer, signs on, gets addicted to smack and pimps his missus and daughter to fund it. Is cleaning up after yourself really worth those two womens lifes? Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: Free_Rollin on February 16, 2010, 01:41:28 PM I always used to clean my tray, but then after speaking to a mate who used to work there, changed my mind. He said he rarely sprayed and wiped the table clean if he saw that the tables were empty. However, if someone was cleaning the trays as well, then they would do the whole job properely. I woudln't want to come to a table with bits of tomato ketchup and gherkins just lying there, so you should leave your tray there. ;)
Have to point out, he's a lazy guy though! She likes it now, it's part of her routine when we visit McDonalds after the cinema now. Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: thetank on February 16, 2010, 04:42:17 PM Ilike to clear the tray. I want the cleaner person to spend the time they would be spending cleaning my tray making sure the toilets are in a decent state.
Promoting employment argument could go the other way. You could say that by not clearing the tray you're affecting the profitability of the restraunt as a whole, and thusly endaagering the job of every man, woman and spotty child in the place. I hope you remember to smash the windows on your way out to keep a glazier and a policeman in a job. I don't want the person who cleans the toilets anywhere near my tray. well sorry to break this to you but that's the job role of the person in the seating area, if the person in the seating area is too busy then they may get assistance from a member of staff from the kitchen to clean the toilets. which would you prefer, the guy that prepares the food elbow deep in shit or the guy that cleans the tables and trays? eitherway its a job that needs doing. As for clearing trays I usually clear mine as do the kids, Although leaving the tray on the table is accepted if you think the service has been poor. Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: gatso on February 16, 2010, 05:20:07 PM I'd prefer it if people would learn not to piss all over the floor before they start worrying about whether or not to clear their table
my toilet at home doesn't need cleaning very often as I'm civilised. my table however needs clearing after each meal. if everyone learnt how to use a toilet properly the staff could spend less time cleaning them and concentrate on tidying away my tray and we'd all be much happier Title: Re: Fast Food Places Post by: thetank on February 16, 2010, 05:53:01 PM Men who clear their own tray tend to have bigger willies than men who don't clear their own tray. It's in the bible.
