Had to chop it up in the end for £3755. Stacks were very close and my chip lead was only 20 bigs so playing on was just a big gamble. Had a good chance to win the lot with QQ against 55 early on the final. Unfortunately my faithful cheering anti railers (Guy) called in a gutshot on the river for the other fella costing me the chance to have half the chips in play. I managed to get back to CL by picking up a few good pushing spots against what was generally a weak final. Only a couple of the other's ever looked like they were prepared to get the lot in with anything that wasn't pretty much a locked hand. I got pretty lucky with my seat draws throughout the comp. Got some very weak tables and went through pretty much the whole comp not showing anything down and just winning pots with 3 bets pre and big flop c bets. My starting table was ridic soft which made picking up chips very easy. Despite being card dead I still manged to get up to twice average without any resistance. Nobody seemed to want to play any big pots so I just picked up easy chips by boosting pots and putting people to the test. The only time I got in to a very big pot was when I'd flopped top set and someone shoved in to me with the up and down straight flush draw. All too easy on this occasion which was nice. Got lucky twice in the late stages, 67 green making a straight against AQ which had flopped top pair then A10 beating QQ on the bubble for big chip lead going in to the final. That would've locked me 2nd place money. 1st hand back shorty shoves and gets ko'd. Unfortunately that was on my blind which with them being 30k cost me £250!! To be honest I hate making deals and prefer to play ftw but there really wasn't any point. Although I thought I had a pretty good edge that gets thrown down the toilet when the average stack is 20bbs. I guess that trying to squeeze such a deep stacked comp in to one day with 225 runners is always going to be tough and always going to become a crapshoot at the end. To be fair my average raising hand agasint you was something along the lines of j2 os. Only ever had one real decision and your 6s were huge even then. Been on the forum for about a year now. But just been skulking around, never bothered posting. Will try get into the habit of it now. Especially since i've seen what a friendly bunch you are.
