Far too young. He was a victim of cancer?

Not that I know of, but he may well have been.

Probably nothing to do with it, but saw an interview with him a few weeks ago and he was saying he had permanent hic-cups for over 2 weeks...!

He suffered a brain aneurysm back in 2003, but no cancer.

Probably had everything to do with it.

There was a story on the radio up here about 2 months ago about a guy who had the hic-ups for over a week, years ago. no one could understand why, so he put his story on the Internet and japenese specialists flew him over to japan for test, it turned out he had a brain tumour that was affecting the part of the brain that induced a form of hic-ups. They cut it out and it saved his life.

Sounds freakishly similar to me.

Wow :(

He did a good job with Lincoln City, was definitely liked by the fans. Remember he had health issues one year with that brain aneurysm whilst he was manager.

I met him once seemed a really friendly bloke.

RIP.

R.I.P

I can remember watching him play for Grimsby would've been late 80s/early 90s I guess. He struck me as one of those centre forwards that defenders would hate to play against, big strong, not the most mobile or technically proficent but at the end of 90 minutes you'd know you'd been in a game.
