Title: Anyone know where to get a shelf made? Post by: Tractor on March 07, 2010, 09:26:30 PM Cant seem to find anywhere local, anyone know a joiner.?
And anyone got an idea how much something like this would cost as I have no idea. Something like this. Title: Re: Anyone know where to get a shelf made? Post by: ACE2M on March 08, 2010, 12:21:33 PM I was doing something similar a while ago.
Apparently wood comes in specific widths to joiners and timber merchants and the max width is not as wide as what you want here. The timber merchant said he would order a peice but i remebering it being a daft amount so did something else with smaller peices. I went to several places. Contacted two joiners locally this morning and they said similar things about the width and having to have to glue two pieces together and then plane it down, anyway neither could give me a price straight away, so I will have to wait and see. And there's me thinking I would have this fitted by the weekend <sigh> Title: Re: Anyone know where to get a shelf made? Post by: Shogun112 on March 11, 2010, 03:03:15 AM Use the wood offcuts to make the brackets to hold it up? ie.. Triangular shaped, vertically mounted... Using maybe resin anchor bolts..?
