Title: SCOOP Staking request - with a difference - SOLD
Post by: outragous76 on March 11, 2010, 04:16:38 PM
SCOOP STAKING REQUEST

I am looking for staking into 7 of the SCOOP events. Now I appreciate that staking for isolated events can be considered as bad for the staker - so I have tried to add a little flavour to my request in the hope it will generate interest from backers.

I would love to pick up one backer for the lot, but I appreciate that might not be likely. Therefore I am prepared to sell individual events (but not parts thereof).

WHO AM I?

Guy Johnson - outragous76 (stars) binkmebaby or outragous1976 on i poker

Stars OPR:   http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/pokerstars/outragous76/poker/results/D7DF75D9C31648E08FE6ABDF6A773079.html?t=2

I am a farily low volume player but am comfortable playing at the stakes requested

I have  2 Sunday Major final tables under my belt (stars 2nd chance  (8th) and I poker 250k (2nd), and also a GUKPT 1k final table. I also ran super deep in the 2008 WCOOP and but for the sickest beat ever would have been top 10 going into day 2. I guess what I am saying is that on my day I can do it

Part of my desire to play the SCOOP is that I feel like I am playing my A game at the minute with a few final tables and near misses since January.

THE OFFER

Given that I am asking a lot of the backer I am prepared to offer what I believe are favourable terms.

I am prepared to play 65%/35% after stake back in backers favour.

In order to add to this – any cash which is under double the buy in for the event – I will give 100% back to the backer. At a point where the cash is better than 2x the buy in the original rules apply to the whole amount.

I want to leave the thread open to see if 1 person will take the lot. So if you are prepared to back me for 1 event – please post interest, but I will reserve acceptance incase someone wants it all (reason that 1 backer who is prepared to take the lot would obv be minimising variance (on a 7 game sample ?!?!?!?!?!?)

THE EVENTS

Event 2 - 2nd May - $215 (NLHE) - 2 days

Event 6 – 4th May – 109 – 5 card draw (44th out of 1200 last year)

Event 12 6th May - ? TBA (NLHE)

Event 20 - 9th May - $215 - 2 days (NLHE)

Event 30 - 13 May - 109 PLO Hi Lo

Event 31 - 14 May - $615 (215 1r 1a) (NLHE)

Event 37 - 16 May $215 - (NLHE)

Thanks for listening. I know I am asking a lot – but Ive got a feeling

hey Guy..

not 100% on what you are doing - are you selling the events as a package? can't quite get my head around it - probably being retarded as per usual.

imo the best way to offer an attractive package would be to say:
total buy in = $x. Then sell percentages of $x and offer 65% of total cashes in return

or is this what you were already doing?

hope u are well matey

Yeah, I'd agree it's not 100% clear.

After stake back in this sort of thing usually means after the entire stake for all 7 comps is returned, ie your $1500 or w/ever.
But the >2 x bonus thing you're talking about makes it sound like you want it to work as 7 individual stakes.

Hey guy,

Why such variance on typse of games played?

Also as above - what happens if you get to end of all 7 and total cashes are $1700 but came in the first event?  What would the split be?

I may take the lot if answers to above are good.
