Title: May Staking - Sold Out Post by: Cf on March 29, 2010, 04:51:01 PM Edit: Sold out
Not played much higher buyin stuff over the last month or two but looking to get back into it in May. Two festivals I want to play in, one week after the other. Bit expensive to do that so looking to shift some of my action. Ideally I'd like to just lump all the comps together and sell like that but if anyone had any objection to this and would rather buy the UKIPT comp seperately then let me know. The events: 7th May: Alea Leeds £100 f/o - 10k/30min/£1000 added 8th May: Alea Leeds £250 f/o - 15k/60min Weekend after: UKIPT Nottingham £500 f/o - 15k/60min The proposal: Total combined costs of all three tournaments is £945. I'm looking to sell 50% of my action total for £11.34 per 1% (1.2) in 5% multiples. Each % corresponds to that % of my total prize money from the three tournaments combined. I don't usually charge a premium on my action but it will help fund an expensive weekend in Nottingham. Obv I don't need expenses for the Leeds events but the fields in these will be v v v soft. My record: Hendon mob: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=134386 Had a profitable year last year with a couple of nice results at DTD. Had a quiet year so far, but only played the one DTD £300 so far. Have been generally busy and not had the weekends to dedicate to it :( Pai: Bank transfer please. Now if you want to get it out of the way but I'm obv happy to wait until nearer the time. I'll write a report for each tournament so people know how it went on. I do warn you in advance tho that the £100er may well end up reading "sigh, wp me". Any questions let me know :) Title: Re: May Staking Post by: redsimon on March 29, 2010, 05:37:10 PM 10% please...if you go down the splitting tournies route id have 20% of UKIPT instead. redsimon can have 20% of the UKIPT. That leaves 30% of the UKIPT left :) Title: Re: May Staking Post by: Cf on March 29, 2010, 06:00:18 PM Good proposition nana! Was planning to put together one for the alea festival myself! Do u thing it well get the runners? Yes. Pretty much everyone I've spoken to is planning on playing it. And they're adding money to the £20r/£100f too so should draw a decent crowd. Title: Re: May Staking Post by: paulhouk03 on March 29, 2010, 06:02:08 PM Can I take all of the Alea ones pls? noooooooooooooooooooooooo can i have a slice? Title: Re: May Staking Post by: BulldozerD on March 29, 2010, 06:04:16 PM what's a reasonable prediction on take up for the bigger Alea buy-ins Charles? Not been in alea for ages so no real idea of how many runners it is likely to get.
Alot of people will say they intend to play but who will turn up may be a different matter. Title: Re: May Staking Post by: George2Loose on March 29, 2010, 06:04:40 PM GL in the UKIPT

I think it'll get good numbers. The casino is generally busier wrt poker these days. Comps getting respectable numbers (40-50) considering Gala offers £££££. Has always been 2-3 cash tables open too any night I go in. Lots of interest from people who play there so I think it'll get good numbers. I'm looking forward to it :) Title: Re: May Staking Post by: EvilPie on March 30, 2010, 04:33:53 PM Is 8th May a 2 day event?

Title: Re: May Staking Post by: Cf on March 30, 2010, 08:42:41 PM Not sure if you commented before but why don`t you play online ? it bores me and I don't really have the time to properly invest in it. That said my stars sng graph is good(cfpoker333) but only a few hundred games. My mtt graph is similar to cos' but only over 7 games and not $5k down :) Title: Re: May Staking Post by: redsimon on April 13, 2010, 08:08:29 AM Still some of the DtD stakeage available...(do I get commission cf?)

£100 f/o This didn't go too good. I got a decent stack going early on but lost a few key pots to dwindle a bit. I eventually busted in 28th after shoving 99 into AA. gg. £250 f/o Only 16 players for this which was disapointing. I'd have prob not bothered playing had I not already satted in. That said, 15,000 chips and a 60 min clock is a good warmup for the UKIPT on Wednesday. cba going into individual hands or anything. I started slowly and eventually got a reasonable stack together but on the final I was never really chipped up. In relation to the blinds though I was pretty much ok. 3 of us called it a night at 2am to start at 3pm today. I started as the shortstack at 800/1600 with 35k, the two other guys having ~80k and ~110k. A couple of hands in I got the dream scenario of the other two having AK v QQ. AK binked leaving one of them with about 25k, and I then knocked him out giving me a reasonable stack to go into heads up with. Never really went on a run though and I eventually busted shoving A3 into AT. £1,100 for my troubles in the end. Cos, I can either give you your $$$ on Wed at DTD or send me your bank details and i'll transfer it over. Had such an inconsistent day, which was really annoying seeing how soft my table was, with the exception of one or two players. I was suprised one of them even found his way to DTD given how far out of it he seemed. My chip count yoyoed all over the place reaching lows of 7k and highs of 22k. Whenever I got chipped up I would then proceed to lose chips again, but given the hands I had I think this was unavoidable. Maybe one exception was when I tried running a bluff which didn't get thru. It would have done had he not flopped a set though, sigh. And so it came to be at 300/600-75 and a stack of 12k I raised the button with AJ, shoved over the BBs 4k, and got called by KJ. And that was that :( Ah well, at least I get to go see Four Lions tomorrow. Title: Re: May Staking - Sold Out Post by: redsimon on May 14, 2010, 06:42:57 AM Well the UKIPT didn't go too well :( Unlucky Charles. There were good players scattered around the room but overall I'd say the standard was really bad. Just look at some of the hands in the update thread lol. I particulary liked the AA one that knocked chris brammer out. Obviously as the field gets smaller some of the better players will emerge but as far as £500 comps go I don't think you can find better value than this. |
