Title: Which side of this bet do you like? Post by: The Camel on March 31, 2010, 03:18:31 AM In hand of Texas Holdem between KK and Q6s (neither of the kings are of the same suit as the Q6) will the Q6 have outs after the turn to an outright win more or less than 50%?
Split pots are disregarded for the benefit of the bet. Title: Re: Which side of this bet do you like? Post by: gatso on March 31, 2010, 07:33:30 AM when you have the kings it seems like your oppo is rarely drawing dead and you always have some sort of a sweat so it feels like more than 50%
but I'm not trusting my instinct on this and I'm plumping for less though I really have no idea Title: Re: Which side of this bet do you like? Post by: hatthehole on March 31, 2010, 07:46:51 AM about 35% of the time q6s will of made a pair by the turn. then flush draw on flop is 10% so over 4 cards like 13%. then staright draw 9% so like 12% of time. obv loads of those overlap and sometimes dead but i think probs more than 50% of the time Q6s will have 1 or more outs to win on the river v kk. probably pretty easy to find out the answer with some computer software.

Link to a site where we can get the answer? Title: Re: Which side of this bet do you like? Post by: kinboshi on March 31, 2010, 05:34:26 PM I'm not sure if there will be one. It might be a case of getting someone to do some maths, but my head hurts thinking about it.

Qc 3s 4s 5s 21 outs, half the deck of 42. Just needs to be open ended + paired and offsuit to the king. Title: Re: Which side of this bet do you like? Title: Re: Which side of this bet do you like? Post by: gatso on April 01, 2010, 12:30:04 PM only if the workings out aren't copied off the internet. that earns a detention
Title: Re: Which side of this bet do you like? Post by: Royal Flush on April 01, 2010, 12:31:30 PM It would also help if his workings out were correct but last time i checked 52-8 was 44 not 42.
