APRIL DTD DONKAMENTS LEAGUE

For April, a League with a difference. The DTDOnline Donkaments League. Instead of a five event league as in March we have a league involving the nightly DTD guaranteed comps.
 
Players should play any of the following events on any nights in April:

19:30 Deepstack €20 + 2, €3.5k guaranteed

20:35 €10 + 1, €3.5k.

21:00 €25 + 2.5, €4k guarantee.

Your top five results in any of these competitions in April will count towards a League table.

Points only count if people mention on the thread that they're playing before they actually play, with their DTD username.

Points system

Top three = 15 points

Final table = 12 points

11th -20th = 9 points

21st - 30th = 8 points

31st - 40th =  7 points

41st- 50th = 6 points

51st- 60th = 5 points

61st- 70th = 4 points

71st - 80th = 3 points

81st -90th = 2 points

91st - 100th = 1 point

Wednesday bonus.

The highest recorded finisher on any Wednesday in April will receive a ten point bonus in addition to finishing position points

Remember, only your top five scores count.

Play as many times as you like, the more you play the more chance you have of winning one of 2 Twenty20 DTD tournament entry prizes for first and second in the league and winning a competiton with a decent guaranteed prize pool while you are at it

I don't multi table more than 2 very well, so deffo in the first two - and in the third if I donk one of them...which is very possible. 

Will try to play some as the tourneys on Boss must be soft as hell.

The Rodent won the €50r last night (well I assume he did as I haven't read the 22 texts he sent at 2am)  so they have got to be murder.

I was still trying to work out why there are two, then realised this included the unofficial zero'th Wednesday in April. Can't complain, I actually played that evening and scored a huge zero points :).

Fortunately, your score was doubled for that evening.

It's just rotating everyone round the table in your view. Handy for multitabling if you overlap them, you can put yourself in a corner or end seat on each table.

Happy to hear suggestions of what you would change, if anything. If there is a consensus on anything we'll implement it

Possibly make a change to the Wednesday bonus.

It's very difficult to win without getting one of those unless your name starts and finishes with an 'h'.

Ran well with no pressure on anyone to play certain dates as such.  Deffo prefer it this way - as and when you can play.  As for the bonus points, 6 of one half dozen of another as far as I'm concerned and happy to go with whatever the rest of ye think.

Right, I can win this.  Just need to play three tournies tonight and finish first in all three.

How about leaving it as it is, but scrapping the Wednesday bonus and instead having a blonde-only tournament once a week where the top three get bonus points (2, 3 and 5 points maybe) towards the monthly league?

Would be fun when it gets to the end of the month and it gets personal.  Might be huge flaws in this idea, I haven't really thought it through.

I don't get a great deal of poker time in my life, but the Wednesday bonus certainly has encouraged me to play more, which is obviously the plan. The league itself has been great, obviously rewards more frequent players, but again, that is fine, and I'm sure everybody understands that. The bonus does give the less frequent players a better chance, so I personally would prefer to keep it. If it makes it a bit unbalanced, maybe reduce it to 5 points?

A blonde only tourney would be fine with me too, as long as it is on days I can actually play :).

Oh, and I'll be in tonight, 3.5k and 4k. That bonus is miiiiiine.

I'm happy to keep things as they are.

The problem with blonde only tourneys where points are involved - as we've seen in the past - a good few don't bother if they aren't in the running towards the end of the month. 

Just as well to keep it to the regularly scheduled MTT's.  Then there's no pressure to get the numbers...just the finishing spots.

Maybe cut the Wednesday bonus in half...and even have two days a week where you can get a 5 point bonus?

With this I don't think it affects May but if we do this in June I'd have a rule that last calendar day has bonus too to keep interest up?
