Title: £1000 on ridiculously short odds...... Post by: stribling on April 04, 2010, 10:49:10 PM Evening all!
So lady luck has struck and I've had a nice little poker winnings of £1000 (and some pennies), I've always thought if I had a spare £1000 (agreed, there is no such thing) that I would try and steal some money from some tiny tiny odds (1.20, 1.10) and build up a little (tiny) bankroll.... I basically wanted to ask the best way to go about this (besides 'don't' which is the definate response i'm getting) I've had my extreme badbeats having £98 putting £50 of it on 1.07 to get it over £100 just to lose it all when some tennis man dies and loses everything (f*** you Verdasco, set and a break up!!) Given the number of 1/1000 shots you see come in I doubt that the odds people give against these supposedly 'certain' events are correct. After hearing more stories of it going terrible wrong (African cup of nations 4-0 to 4-4), I can't really afford to lose my £1000, but its not enough for my travel plans for the end of the year.
In my head I saw myself stealing 1.12, occasionally hitting the big money of 1.20 and stealing £200, getting to the end of the year easily with a doubled grand. hmmm........ BJ you say... Post by: gatso on May 10, 2010, 06:59:24 PM yesterday I went over to see why the hare krishna's were drawing such a big crowd, normally they only get one or 2 interested but this time there were about 50 people in a circle watching. turns out it wasn't them at all, the drum beats were from a travelling group of capoeira practitioners which was a welcome change. I couldn't speak to them though as I don't even know what aguidos means
