I'm going to play in a few GUKPT events at Manchester later this month and want some advice on how to approach the £100 texas rebuy.I've played £5 , 10 , 20 and 30 rebuys  but not anything more. The way i play is loose during the rebuy stage with a budget of up to 10 rebuys and an add on.

Having never played a rebuy over £30 , i want to know is the £100 rebuy played in the same manner. The starting chips is 3,000. Do they play it like a freezeout , rebuying when low ?

I aways buy an add on but in this game do all the players add on ?

I have budgeted for 1 buy in  , 2 rebuys and an add on £400 + 10. Will that be sufficient  or should i leave that game out?

I'd budget £300 for 1 rb and an add-on, an extra rebuy if I really had to

A lot of the field will play it on this sort of semi-freezeout budget, and your value will be having a hand stand up against those prepared to throw more at it

Table draw is pretty crucial in these as you will need to size up what type of player you are up against, without giving away any budget you are on.

If you are on a tight budget, forget rebuy events.

You might well get a gambling table where the players are more intent on spinning up some chips than saving some cash.

Financial issues should not be an issue when you are deciding to play a hand or not.

If they are, you are not playing the tournament to maximum +ev.

There are plenty of medium sized freezeouts, play some of those.
