Title: Weekend Football - in memory of The Oracle.
Post by: sovietsong on April 10, 2010, 08:53:05 AM
Good Morning Everybody,

Today I will be mostly backing short price league one teams doubled and trebbled with Hull City.  My bets stupidly include Norwich, Leeds United and Millwall.  I'm disappointed with my lazy bets but cant see much else about.  I'm looking forward to the value hunters coming on and sharing there superb tips so i can jump on the bandwagon!

Kind Regards,

Sovietsong.

I also like Hull today.
I will be backing them along with the top 3 in League 2 in various combinations.

dave do you miss rookie too?

he would be posting right now, just altering your bets to lays.  I used to pretend i didnt know how he came up with his lays but now he's gone i just feel empty and dont want to play along anymore.

If he came back it would be like christmas come early.

god i miss him

In good form recently and this is a very big fixture for them with their run-in. If you get above evens I would snap it up, not seen the prices yet.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry about this Celtic game, tbf I laughed initially then realised i really want Lennon to get the job.

Didn't have a penny on the Celtic game but somehow I think it'll be my favourite result of the weekend.  ;D  Very pleased for the lad who scored the first goal, he's from my home town and even had a spell with the local junior team a few years back after being released by possible cup final opponents Raith Rovers. As it happens his dad played for Celtic in the 70's.

My bets today are Leicester, Middlesboro, Norwich, Luton at about 13/2.

Treble on Chelsea, Barca, and Man Utd, think it's about 11/2.

May have a sizeable single on Barca depending how the horses go today.

Great interview with Neil Lennon on Sky just now, don't think any Celtic player will have any lingering doubts over what he thinks of them this season.

RC totally deserved that today but another truly awful performance from Celtic today again. Didn't see Lennons interview but that should be gg for his chances of the job permanently.

Sound not the best and a smirnoff ad at the start to piss you off.

Enjoyed this weekend's football and watched 4 full games & bits and pieces of others. Barca made sure I am ahead for the weekend but would have been a really good one if Utd could have found the net (or Berbatov wasn't such a lazy bastard).

Messi will take the plaudits again this weekend and he is the most talented player in the world but Xavi was awesome.
