Title: Cheap Vegas flights
Post by: redsimon on December 17, 2005, 12:17:03 PM
Virgin have a good deal, though you must book before midnight Monday 19th December. The flights must be taken between 8th January and 31st March 2006. Price including taxes etc £297 per person. Bargain for direct flights :)

I saw this and cried ... there's no way I can get away that soon, and I so need to go ... this is not a want situation, this is a NEED situation.

Stonkingly good deal though, even if it is Virgin - I'd put up with flying with them for that money.

I'd have to upgrade on the way back though!

I've only flown Virgin to Miami (on way to Aruba). I thought they were good and better than BA were when I flew H'Row to Vegas. Do you have any horror stories?

Yeah ... <g>

I just think their cattle class is horrific for long long haul - I can do Miami with them , and have done several times, but their seats aren't comfy, their drink service is abysmal (I don't drink alcohol on planes, but abide by the shed loads of water theory), and the food isn't good.

I think they are a bit up their own bottom to be honest.

I've only flown direct to Vegas once - all the other times I went via a US hub on a US carrier, and although it took longer, it was cheaper, and less traumatic going through immigration etc, and the flight was better.

I flew direct with BMI, and yes it was Business class, so it was good, but I had a shufty around the economy section, and I think their service for their cattle product is better than Virgin. Downside is of course is that I had to go to Manchester to travel on it.

At the moment I am so needy for a Vegas fix that I would travl on Virgin, but I would have to upgrade to their Premium Economy service on the way back. (Premium economy is very good long haul - seats are wider, cabin is quiet, and if you are in a 747 - as most Virgin Vegas flights are, then you are in the bubble, the only time I am happy bubbling!).

It is a spanking deal though.

I agree with what you say Heid but just in case you didn't know, they leave bottles of water and jugs of juice in the kitchen bit after you've had the meal, for you to help yourself.

Yeah, I know .. but all the kids go and drink em ...and why are there kids going to Vegas?<g>

I do hear what you are saying ... I just think they are a bit rubbish on economy :)

If someone gave me a free flight though, I wouldn't chuck it back at them :)

I think I can cope with the flight (I usually sleep thru it and don't drink booze in flight)

Now all I need to do is win some money online to pay for it :D

Mad,

I think there are some charters that go from Glasgow, but scheduled wise, the nearest to you in Manchester.

Most 3 stars are ok, I would keep away from the Excalibur, and Circus Circus, but certainly most other places are fine - PM me if you want to know about a particular hotel :)

Happy to give advice :)

Well not been looking seriously YET..for this year, but have gone at least one or twice a yr for the last 7 years...Now I usually pay up to 300 for my flight, but have been known to get them very cheap 150 /200.the cheapest I could have ever got one was £85 flight only Direct from Manchester.. I Usually fly from manchester, I now suffer the cramps with Airtours as it gets me there direct, May - Sep only. Or United if not. As for accomodation I find it cheaper to book it myself direct or sometimes Funwaytravel do some good cheap deals on Downtown rates.
