blonde poker forum

I came across blonde a few years ago like many other people through the blonde updates, I never been a serious poker player but have been fortunate enough in my time to play against many professional/top players and have had the good fortune to meet many nice people through attending various events.

I signed up to blonde as it was clearly evident that the forum had a good community feel to it and there were many different topics discussed covering a whole range of subjects, and the members were most helpful and informative with their knowledge that they were happy to pass on when asked,there were also contencious subjects raised and these were then discussed and debated on the whole in a civil and constuctive manner. Members come and go and some of the established 'old guard' at the time I joined have sinced moved on for varying reasons and I guess thats part of life.

Over the past few months the thing I have felt is that the debates/discussions have become a lot more personal in their verbal attacks on one another and I think mostly they start off as tongue in cheek comments but then escalate into what has become on some circumstances tirades of verbal abuse.

The forum certainly doesnt have the same feel to it as before (IMO) but that doesnt and will not stop me from continuing to be here to read the topics and posts that are of an interest to me.

As I said ONLY my thoughts.

At the moment its been a bit rough but at heart it's still a great place populated by a lot of great people. The challenges sometimes seem bigger than before though, but that's life

This is a good place with a good community BUT, there are a lot of smug twats, smart arses and piss takers on here and unfortunately they seem to be a big part of the place and have a following.

Unfortunatley, after viewing the last couple of days. it looks like the place is in danger of imploding.
