My thinking is that, if your shove gets through uncontested, your situation will not have improved by much and you will still be in shove mode. If you get called you will probably be racing at best. From UTG, i think that the risk to reward ratio isn't quite in your favour. I can see Paul H's point of view though too, so i don't think there is much in it.
