Title: Dongles
Post by: The_nun on April 29, 2010, 07:12:15 PM
TRying to fathom out how to get one temporary for just a couple of months, do not want to be tied into any long term contract, just want it to see us through hossy period.

Anyone else done this and if so any recommendations?

Very, I use it when I work nights, out in the sticks. Never had a problem

3's dongle costs about £18 from Tesco last time I looked. You then top up like you would a phone - £10 gets you 1GB of usage, £15 gets you 3GB of usage and £25 gives you 7GB of usage. All last for 30 days. If you're getting it for Reece to stream music and/or youtube, then get the 7GB one, otherwise get the 3GB one, which is better value for money than the 1GB.

Joobs says you can also send texts with it, and you get 500 free. God knows how though, I think it has something to do with the connection box.

Definitely worth getting one for anybody really.
