Title: Is this a SLOW ROLL
Post by: foxchild on May 01, 2010, 07:52:00 PM
I Raised 6 Handed under the Gun with Jd Ad for 1400 blinds 200/400,  Got 1 Call    Flop  Qh Th 8h both check,  2h on turn i bet 2000 called,   Aspades on river put a bet of 3000 in,  it took him between 1min and 2 min to call with the  Ahrt Kh.  I know the size of bet was wrong, but he said he was worried of the the straight flush.

OP raises pre with  Ad  Jd and is flatted by  Ahrt  Kh. (no stack sizes but the AK should be re raising OP here right?) Both chech flop, OP leads the turn and is flatted by the 2nd nuts, he again leads the river and is only flatted by the 2nd nuts.

Hence my statement saying he lost the minimum (not technically the mimimum he could lose but he got away lightly ducy?)

Raised too much pre.

Fired the turn on a board oop that was about as wet as they get.

Decided to bluff when he gets a bit of showdown value on the end when he was getting called by any heart or straight.

[ ] minimum

technically the minimum is zero

losing the minimum with AJs utg 6 handed would be pretty terrible

This is one of those that I class as a nitroll.

well i don't think its a slowroll actually

he is surely considering whether to raise or just call, rather comically he just calls. But there's not alot that should pay him off anyways given he has the 2 nutflush cards.

lol at lost the minimum

He could quite easily of got it all in pre and lost his whole stack!

that would be "not losing the maximum"

different to "losing the minimum" - DUCY?

Another consideration as to deciding whether this is a slow roll is stacks.

If you are both 200 bigs deep then I can understand a bit of caution and the pointlessness of raising. If you were both on 25 bigs at the start of the hand then oppo is tez for not insta getting his stack in here.

idcy

that is what I meant that he could quite easily of lost more than he did!

he could have chosen not to bluff 2 streets

Dan, the raise pre is too big, the turn and river bets are just unnecessary, particularly the river now that heros hand has at least a bit of showdown value.

Losing around 900/1k here is the minimum.

Maybe it is the minimum he could have lost considering what a terrible player he is?

Little bit harsh Mr K.

He's made mistakes. Let's just point them out and hope he sticks around.

Yeah it was actually, was only joking sorry. Forgot the OP was actually in the thread, had it in my head that it was a friend of Girgy's and was joining in the general rip-it-out-of-girgy banter.

Sure know OP

Sure care about what u think of me
