I dont think spitting on anybody is acceptable, I think it should carry the same punishment as GBH.

If you watch really closely, milliseconds before he is spat on, the BNP guy looks like he is about to spit on the kid he is talking to, so I think that this was a 'Steven Gerrard-esque retaliate before the original attack defensive spit' - great instincts from the spitter, you cant teach that.
