Hand 2, value bet IMO. Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: GreekStein on May 13, 2010, 11:55:38 AM Hand 2, looks like you gots yaself da missed draw so valuetown like 140.
Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: doubleup on May 13, 2010, 02:09:01 PM Hand one - v bad river as you are now at best chopping with Ax. Any reasonable opening range is all over this board, and I would've expected a blocking type of bet from ax, so I reluctantly pass. Hand 2 - I wouldn't bet very much, maybe 1/4 1/3 pot. Looks like he has tt or something similar, so he won't pay much. Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: Rupert on May 13, 2010, 02:29:40 PM hand 1: call
hand 2: bet like 40% of pot. 25% of pot looks far stronger imo since you're seldom bluffing with that amount Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: boldie on May 13, 2010, 03:36:33 PM hand 1: call hand 2: bet like 40% of pot. 25% of pot looks far stronger imo since you're seldom bluffing with that amount In hand 1, aren't you really calling hoping to get a split pot? Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: Rupert on May 13, 2010, 05:24:03 PM yeah hand 1 is an easy fold upon further analysis, he's never bluffing and he's more likely to check back an ace on the turn than a ten and even QJ got there which is def in barrelling range
Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: AlexMartin on May 14, 2010, 03:20:36 PM hand 1 v an unknown is a fold, though in practice, i mostly call.
hand 2 is is a bet/fold, bet/call dependant on much more than the fact he is a 23/19. Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: doubleup on May 14, 2010, 03:53:41 PM hand 1 v an unknown is a fold, though in practice, i mostly call. lol I was thinking the same thing - luckily I'm mostly playing rush atm and time out b4 I can call. Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: gatso on May 14, 2010, 05:13:43 PM hand 1 is a great one for analysis. I reckon most people call here in real time but would fold given time to think about it
'easy call, why's he posted that?' was my first thought on reading it Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: piestack on May 15, 2010, 10:42:13 PM i was worried i was overthinking things on hand 1 but i thought about it and folded. couldn't decide if i liked how i played it and wondered whether raising turn is better and still not sure.
hand 2 i was really torn between betting and checking, surprised that everyone pretty much says bet. obv i bet and he called with KK lol. Title: Re: 2 AQ hands, river decisions Post by: piestack on May 16, 2010, 06:04:02 PM yeah, you're right it's a standard bet.
