Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: gatso on May 18, 2010, 01:54:33 PM must be smallprint. otherwise just lay england and freeroll the tv
Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 18, 2010, 02:04:58 PM I cant post links but it sound fine, toshiba are doing it
Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: EvilPie on May 18, 2010, 02:08:29 PM Perhaps they just overprice the TV by 15% and back England at 8/1 freerolling the sale.
Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: thetank on May 18, 2010, 02:12:53 PM Comedy if Japan knock England out on pens.
Sorry about the footballs, but ty for buying the big tellys Englanders. Hope they fit tastefully in your living rooms. Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 18, 2010, 02:14:16 PM Perhaps they just overprice the TV by 15% and back England at 8/1 freerolling the sale. that's what I thought they would of done need to have a look once I'm on my laptop as I need a new tv Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: gatso on May 18, 2010, 02:16:10 PM same offer on laptops
Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 18, 2010, 02:21:32 PM So if you have a big roll to lay off England you could easy pick up a few tvs laptops then wiiiiiiiiiiiii how could neil buy with his 70k roll
Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: Girgy85 on May 18, 2010, 02:27:21 PM In for a Free laptop if this is possible?
Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: gatso on May 18, 2010, 02:33:39 PM you kinda need to find england at evens or shorter to freeroll it. you can lock up a discount though if they're reasonably priced

Instead of cash though, you get a betting slip. Ok if you want the telly/laptop anyway and can't get a better discount elsewhere. Greening out would mean tying up a lot of funds. Fuck that, support your team. Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 18, 2010, 02:45:22 PM So it's not that good an offer then if your were to lay England then
Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: thetank on May 18, 2010, 03:05:30 PM So it's not that good an offer then if your were to lay England then 11% discount. All laying England will do is turn the value of the bet into cash whatever the outcome. It won't grow from 11% though. Also, do you really want to load up Betfair or whatever and stick ~90% of the cost of a big telly on England to lose the world cup? You can join me and the boys at haggis bagpipe club if this is the plan. Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: TheChipPrince on May 18, 2010, 03:07:07 PM Divide the cost of the tv by 7 and thats your effective bet on Eng.
Surely better offers out there. Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: thetank on May 18, 2010, 03:19:26 PM you kinda need to find england at evens or shorter to freeroll it. you can lock up a discount though if they're reasonably priced I wouldn't call a 50% discount a freeroll. Toasty discount maybe Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: EvilPie on May 18, 2010, 04:08:49 PM So it's not that good an offer then if your were to lay England then Figures are made up for simplicity: TV costs £120 You can lay England at 1.2 Lay England for £100 returns £120 meaning £20 off your TV if England lose. If England win however You get your £120 back but have lost your £100 bet. Either way you have paid £100 for your TV. If you can find it anywhere else for £99.99 then you've not had a good deal. Toasty discount maybe I'm working from the assumption that I'm going to buy the tv even without the offer. then I can lay the cost of the tv @ evens. if england win then I've paid for the tv as normal, if they lose then I get it free=freeroll sadly I don't want a new tv and england aren't evens Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: thetank on May 18, 2010, 05:07:05 PM Warning, nitty post coming, largely irrelevant, intended only to be read by gatso. Write off thread from here on out and get on with your day.
I'm working from the assumption that I'm going to buy the tv even without the offer. Under that assumption, explain to me why I'm not freerolling on a telly if I just buy the telly with the promotion and don't bother my arse with any bookies or laying or what odds England are. I buy telly (that we've assumed I was buying anyway) and if England win I get free telly. ergo, I'm freerolling on telly. The assumption is dumb but if we do apply it then the assertion that England would need to be evens or better to be freerollin is incorrect. Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: gatso on May 18, 2010, 05:10:49 PM you would be but I'd rather be freerolling on an england loss than an england win that makes me happy anyway
for you scotty peeps it's a great offer as it stands, proper win win Title: Re: Tv offer Post by: thetank on May 18, 2010, 05:17:08 PM you would be but I'd rather be freerolling on an england loss than an england win that makes me happy anyway If we could lay England to win the world cup at evens then yes, we'd all be very happy. If I could back Italy against New Zealand at evens I'd also be very happy. You fantasy world is fun and we're all very rich. Who gives a flying one what telly's cost anymore. You're only free rolling if the TV is the same price as it would be without the offer. You can free roll anything if you don't mind stumping up some extra cash for it in the first place.
