Title: Hidden Monsters Post by: TightEnd on June 06, 2005, 10:03:16 AM $109 SnG yesterday
Down to five players, reasonably equal in chips two limpers, small blind completes, I check in BB with 3d4d Flop 3c4c4s Ker-ching! To cut a long story short, turn and river are clubs, limpers hold Ac with a rag, KcQc (unraised from the button) Thank you, unassailable lead, and good night! I'M SURE SOMEONE CAN BEAT THIS.... ;D Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: tikay on June 06, 2005, 01:03:53 PM Well I have to try......
100-er at Notts last night. Down to 7k after few "accidents", I move in on the button as there has been no action & get looked up by the BB. He has T-T, I have, err, 9-4 off, oops. Board comes 9-9-x-9, & then, just to rub it in, 4...... What a terrific Forum this is. Bad Beat tales are banned, & I cant recall seeing one on here, but we get "good beat" tales. Lovely! Any better "good beats"? Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: M POWER on June 06, 2005, 03:20:49 PM This must of happened after your pocket 10's on a 3 3 10 flop
Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: M POWER on June 06, 2005, 03:23:21 PM Sorry I forgot the Ace on the street just to Motivate those who had no 3 or 10
Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: Karabiner on June 06, 2005, 03:40:14 PM my best good beat was playing nlhe on ladbrokes about a year ago.
Having slowplayed AA utg, I flopped the other two AA !! Matey-boy rivered a royal flush. I called his allin bet in a trice, losing a $200 pot. ....... and won the bad beat jackpot ....$500 !! ;D Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: tikay on June 06, 2005, 06:23:05 PM Wow Karabiner, trust YOU to come up smelling of roses.......
M Power - thank you for reminding everyone of that. Especially the A, which I prayed for. Thought I played it rather well myself....... I got to thinking what might have happened if my 9-4 party piece had been against you...? Hope Jessica is well & good luck with next month's new arrival. Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: snoopy1239 on June 06, 2005, 06:31:14 PM I busted aces on a final table last night with 2-7. That was enjoyable.
May I add that they were suited and i hit a backdoor flush. So to all the people who say cards being suited makes little difference, there's the stonecold proof. In fact, I reckon I was almost 50-50 with my 2-7 suited. :D Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: portfolio on June 06, 2005, 07:42:34 PM pocket 9s in the bb v 64 o and a10 on the button at the commerce LA in feb.

Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: tikay on June 06, 2005, 07:48:38 PM Well I think you just killed that thread stone dead!
Nice stuff though, all of it. Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: Karabiner on June 06, 2005, 09:28:39 PM How about starting up a chirper's section, and a bad beat section in the forum ?
Would save a lot of messing about. ;) :D ;D Title: Re: Hidden Monsters Post by: David_Capon on June 07, 2005, 12:18:39 AM i got terrible beat last night so not happy.
Best beat was on a party $215 sng bubble. on the button with Q9s. Pushed all in, got called by KK. He hit his K on the river giving me a straight flush. Think i went on to win tha one :) |
