My official summer grind begins this weekend so I decided to create a thread which would pretty much blog my entire summer of poker.

I didn't want to create a proper blog or anything like that because I don't want to get into the realms of getting people to follow me and following others and generally trying to increase traffic.

It would be awesome if others could blog their own poker sessions this summer. Would be the perfect opportunity for you to write about any profit/volume challenges however you don't feel are worthy of an entire thread.
I must stress that personally this is not a bankroll challenge nor is it a volume challenge. I am doing this because I think it could be fun, and also I can use it to determine where I am most successful and where I lose. I hope to hell I don't publicly lose my net worth  ;pokergods;

Commencing this weekend, I will be depositing on FTP, this will be around $900 - $1100. This is not my restricted bankroll, I may take money out of it and I may reload a couple of times, I am fully prepared to reload as that's pokerz.

I don't have a set aside live roll at the moment, however when I choose to play a tournament and I cash, I will just keep that as my live roll.
I will be updating in terms of profit rather than bankroll because my money is never in one place.

I'm planning to buy a 1969 Mercedes 280SL regardless as an investment, however yet to find one I like. Off to Ipswich next weekend to view one.


The Ideal targets:
These targets are assuming I run incredible every single month however I like to aim high. I'm yet to work out how much profit I need to each but will decide as I go along.

This month (June) $10 - $30 MTTs on FTP. Also pllan to play some British Masters and GUKPT sides
Next month (July) Live in London for 3 - 4 weeks and grind the cash games at The Vic and Empire
August Have a few non poker related holidays and just general enjoying summer, aswell as a few exams. If all has gone swimmingly by this point I will play maybe bigger cash games online and bigger MTTs but not as much volume.
September: If everything has gone well I will fly over to Vegas for my 21st and to finish off the summer

Narr not necessarily, If there is a good tournament on another site I will play it.

As I say there is also no BRM issues, If I see a $100 buy in I will play it, £500 Brit Masters I will play it, $1k monday has 3x overlay, I will play it

It turned out I just didn't have the time for Jon Lundys stable, on top of uni and general social life I didn't have the time to commit to doing so many hands per month.

play super solid in the $50 4k G on ipoker

Came 3rd (for 500) but was a pretty cold exit. Had 22 on a Q72 flop - other kid had 77.

Couldnt see myslef loosing tbf

None the less - considering i started this roll from FPPs 2 days ago im going ok

I have posted this hand as I think I played it atrocious, and if I was going to c/f that flop why did I call pre, to set mine with such shallow stacks. Literally felt like a dousche after that hand.

Haven't been playing at all as I have been in Ipswich. Also been moving all my stuff from Nottingham to Newcastle.

Finally back home to be able to have an uninterrupted grinding session daily.

Havn't reported in a couple of days, mainly because things went a bit horrific for me, the bad beats just became unbearable and I didn't want to end up spamming the thread with them.

Went on downswing and for the summer I reached a low of being down $830. Pretty sickening but that's completely what I expect of the turbo MTT's I am playing and I will just have to stomach it.

However today I finally managed to get a bink for $753. Was a sick HU battle and got his tournament life at risk when he only had 4% equity and got there. Grinded it back to take the win.

Yeah I'll play as many as I can, people keep saying that they aren't sure whether it will get the runners so it won't be worth playing. However I'd happily play a £300 6 player SNG. Will still be a better investment than playing anything online.

Finished my grind for today. Started off a poor day, was down about $400 at one point playing 90 man turbos.

Kept grinding and played a total of 25 tourneys today (not exactly mondatoo volume)

Managed to turn what was starting to be a pretty toss day into a very successful day.

Had a good day today, didn't play many tournaments as I played Aspers £150 which didn't go so well.
My ROI so far is 44.8% which is obviously super high and well above expectation but happy to let it continue...

I haven't updated the last day or two as I have been playing live. I played some high variance GTD tourneys for eg the $20r, kind of regret it in some ways as I am much more comfortable in the SNG's and lower variance is more suited for what I am aiming to accomplish this month.

To update:

I have been playing MTT's for a couple of weeks now and have recorded a profit of $1350.

This has been a good result considering the small amount of MTT's I have played, and I still have a 35% ROI. However this past two days I have found that the MTT's that I am doing so well in aren't running as often as I'd like to be able to make the amount of money I hope to make. And the MTT's that do run often are too high variance.

Therefore I have chosen to take my profits and dedicated bankroll and play primarily cash games alongside some higher variance tourneys for the rest of the money. I am less experienced in cash games however after being with Bad Beat for a year and part of Jon Lundy's stable I'd like to think that my knowledge is sufficient enough to beat the small stakes.

Had people over to grind and watch the match today. Played some cash which went well and also a couple of MTT's later on. Won about $50 at cash and had a decent score playing MTTs. Plus the biggest bink of all England getting through weeeeeeeeeeee.

I think it's a good time to update this.

So far the summer has gone to plan for me, I've continued a good grind however I didn't reach the mad profitz I dreamt of, but I didn't lose and that's the main thing.

One thing I have noticed is where the fucks my money gone?? (I've withdrawn none of it)

I got all these good tournament scores, rakeback payments, cash profits and not actually that much to show for it.

Since the start of this blog my tournament earnings (only counting the scores that are $1k and above) amount to $18k ish,

However despite this amount of cashes my summer profits from online is only £6800 (inc. cash profits + RB), and live I have also played some side events in the partouche poker tour + the DTD monthly a couple of times.

So infact despite alot of tourney success I haven't actually profited that much. And I've had to live, run a car, eat, enjoy myself etccc

I now play 100nl 6mx as my regular game and I consider myself a good winner at the game, with 55% rakeback I can make about 1800euros if I get through 70,000 hands in a month.

I am looking for a 6 max cash coach so if anyone has any recommendation please PM me.

So from now on I will continue with 6max cash and the odd tournament session once per week, and may even keep it updated ;applause;

unibet, but you can get 60% on ipoker, or even 70% on this new russian skin called alfa poker, dont fancy the risk of a foreign site though
