Title: Poker Gods
Post by: ScotlandStu on December 19, 2005, 04:21:05 PM

3 consecutive hands from last night's nlh'em tourney- total prize money £6350.

    Hand 1

Lose most of my chips QQ v AA being teased by flush draw. Left with enough chips for big blind only.

  Hand 2

5 callers.   Flop AAJ. All fold to small blind, who bets out, and everyone else folds. He flips over J rag.  Not having looked I flip over 68os.  TOAST. But the Poker Gods are in control. Turn is A, river is J.     Split pot.

  Hand 3

In small blind for 400 chips, leaving me 1500. Dealt 35os. 4 callers so I call also[very loose].
Flop is 952 with 2 hearts. Naturally I move all-in[ the poker Gods are with me after all.] Big blind calls, everyone else folds. He turns over 35os, including 5h. You know what's coming, don't you? Turn Qh, river 3h.  Ah! those POKER GODS.

           BAH    HUMBUG.

                    MERRY XMAS.

i find that with a regular sacrifice of a live chicken to the poker gods after every good result that they often reward you in forthcoming tournaments. Things are getting so good results wise at the moment that i have a coop that would make bernard matthews green with envy!!  :D

(of course this is for on-line play - i'm not sure what the "live" poker gods would require but its a start!!)
