Title: KK BvB Deepish in 3r
Post by: SnowmanShan on July 02, 2010, 10:40:44 AM
Just got moved 6 hands ago already played decent sized pot Vs villain. Very first hand I get moved he opens full 3x to 21k I 3b to 48k (to small?) he flats. Flop is Q73r, he checks and for some dumb reason I check. Turn is 3. He bets really small like 1/10th pot i call. River is 5 no flush draws and he overbets pot I fold. So I guess he thinks I am a retard.

I thought checking flop is fine and calling turn and cant see anything else but to fold river. I guess Im thinking does our history have anything to do with it?

Also what do u think of sizing pre?

Preflop is fine. Flatting is an option too I think for deception in pos.

I'm cbetting this flop 100% of the time. 50k ish seems about right.

As played calling turn is fine.

River is a fold I guess. You can beat bluffs but that's about it.

I like the 44444, don't agree with CF that we should flat when we are this deep, get some chips in there imo, especially when it's BvB and he might 4-bet a lot of medium strength hands.

I think a C-Bet is right on this textured flop, obviously we have to call the turn as played...Sigh fold river I guess, but I have been known to call in these spots.

This, but I snap-call in the previous hand with KK on the Q7335 board, seriously how can you fold on the end after checking the flop?

O I dindth say previous hand  was talking about I had AKo.

Nobody thinks checking A high flop is ok?  I mean if he c/r flop we almost always fold.  I think if we check flop we ca sometimes gte to showdown (I think)?

Oh, did we have KK in that first hand too? Wasn't incredibly clear...

Oh, AK.

Yeah, again, cbet that first hand.

Do you always check an A high flop with KK?

Id he check raises you then you have a new decision to make. And it may well be a fold. But if I 3bet with Ax and hit the A i'm cbetting it 100% of the time. So play your KK the same.

I often cbet KK on A high flop but in 3b pots I seem to struggle and get check raised a lot, so I have reduced cbet a lot in those spots, which I guess is bad.  yeah first hand was stupis and I almost always would cbet there.
