The trade king v dubai cock waving contest gave me an idea.

Why don't blondes have these bets with each other more often instead of the bookies taking a premium or betfair the commision.

e.g. I would like to lay spain for the world cup outright @2/1, i'll lay £20 to someones £40.

All funds held in escrow via FT or stars, no funds into them then no bet. Escrow accounts will be managed by a few trusted blonde members.

But this applies to any bet, so you could get rich laying scottish daves bets.

Thread just continues forever and we all save a bit of dosh and have some banter.

This just looks like a logistical nightmare, with all the shady stuff going on here recently I am not getting involved.

I would rather pay betfair 5% commission than risk my stars/full tilt account getting involved with potentially dirty money.

If it was limited to known members 300 posts rule maybe.

i have thought about the logistics and it seems quite straightforward, money transfers don't have to be checked after every event, transfers are time stamped so it's not as if every time a wager is struck one of the guardians of the excrow account will have to log in to check anything. If the money ain't there then no wager is struck.

People must stick to one account name on either site to make transfers from.

I can't exactly seeing it being like betfair so i don't think there is ever going to be huge amounts to process, just a few bets per week probably.

Finding escrows I think will be a major sticking point, having acted as an escrow on the money transfer thread a couple of time. I became uneasy doing it for a couple of reasons as

(a) It was suprisingly time consuming, waiting for both parties to ship and then ship again. Problems with unverified accounts, limits etc.

(b) There was always a very small chance I could be linked to dodgy stuff from other accounts. Money laundering, collusion on accounts etc. I am not sure what price I would put on having a constant active and clean stars/tilt account but a lot more than I was willing to risk doing people a favour.

Only bad thing about this idea is that you cannot withdraw money that's been transfered to your account. I had this problem with the LMS winnings and Scotty had to Bank Transer it to me instead.

I already have bets with Blonde members i trust.

Whenever i need a bit of spare cash i have $20-$50 bets with Mondatoo/Dunk.
