Comment from one of the older neighbours stuck in her house when asked "What's going on now" by the Sky news tool; "It's the same as 2.5 hours ago, really. Nothing's changed" Nicely said, dear. I don't know why he went and killed himself. Basically it was nothing a beer and a spot of fishing couldn't have resolved. Moat was a good guy, he just took some drugs and that affected his joogement, the drugs wore off and he thought 'oh no, what have I doon?'. He could have handed himself in and it would have been 12 years in the nick, 6 with good behaviour. All he did after all was shoot a couple of folk and kill one (which is not nice), and it was under the influence. Someone obviously must have just wound him up..... Why why why didn't the police just let Gazza go in as negotiator?????? Title: Re: Moat standoff Post by: Linux on July 10, 2010, 06:40:48 PM Gazza is so com

So much easier to swallow this kind of story when hes just an "evil nutjob on the loose". Sounds articulate and insightful from the tapes :( :( Saw an interview with a clinical psychologist today who said that the council are probably in the clear, having a messed up head is one thing but they dont really act until he presents a risk. Maybe some "scum" are just not worth the taxpayer"s £££ in their eyes. Interestingly, he failed to turn up for a scheduled psych appointment. The psychologist said this is common and in fact people who fail to turn up are the ones you should be trying hard to contact and deal with. In her story, and I shit you not, she paid homage to her karate expert boyfriend Chris Brown for teaching her blocking techniques. This meant that when Moat pulled the trigger she could instinctively fire off a defensive block....deflecting the bullets away from her vital organs. The doctors said without the karate kid inspired block she would most certainly have died. Sam Stobbart talking for the first time said "That move is what Chris taught me." She thanked him for his final gift of teaching her to block just before his untimely death. Abs fecking incredible story.
