Title: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: david3103 on July 20, 2010, 04:05:05 PM So - Gala Teesside has decided to make the second 50p/£1 cash table they open each night a 'feeder' table.
Once there are 5 or more on the waiting list they open the second table and then as players leave the first table the next name on the list is compelled to move. Actually you can choose not to, but you can't choose to just stay where you are. If you refuse your place on the 'main' table you can't go back on either list for at least two hours. Views on this? and also views on what should happen with your accumulated stack on the 'feeder'? I understand that recently a guy who had built a stack of c£500 and when moved he put all but £150 in his pocket... The ruling seems to be that he can sit at the 'main' table as if he was fresh to it and with a minimum buyin (£30 lol) Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: gatso on July 20, 2010, 04:13:52 PM Views on this? standard apart from being able to refuse a seat on the main game, normally you have to move, that's the point of a feeder, the clue's in the name Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Bloke next to me was telling me he had a brand new car - looks like a jaguar. Got leather seats and a CD player.

Not happy if I stack off to donko in a '1 pair cooler', he moves with all my money, i follow 15mins later and hes grinding 10 bbs. Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: celtic on July 20, 2010, 05:49:53 PM Not allowed at Luton G. You have to play with what you won on the feeder table.
Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: GreekStein on July 20, 2010, 06:12:45 PM At Luton G me, Rooks, Middy and Knave sit at feeder table and within an hour the table has like £9k on it.
I'm stuck £500 and I get made to move to the main game which is smaller than the feeder game and no one has more than £300. sdkhgojdgdfh Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: david3103 on July 20, 2010, 06:47:41 PM So why can't there just be two tables? Waiting lists for each/either/any?
Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: doubleup on July 20, 2010, 06:58:23 PM Its called a "must move" game. Why can't uk cardrooms use the correct terminology? To OP the reason for a must move game is to give the waiting list players a game as soon as possible, while ensuring that the original game doesn't break up. Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Americans don't call tournaments comps (or competitions), does it make it any less a correct term? Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... No, but when there is a term "must move" that perfectly adequately describes a situation, what is the point in inventing a new term that isn't as good at describing the situation? I have never heard of the term 'must move', i've only ever heard of feeder tables. I also think 'feeder' adequetly describes the situation. Just saying.. Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: celtic on July 21, 2010, 12:15:37 AM At Luton they say there is a seat on the feeder table, but it is a must move table. Covers it all imo.
Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: gatso on July 21, 2010, 12:19:24 AM 'must move table' is a horribly clunky name. glad we don't use it.

That is just because you are ignorant just saying.... ps google "feeder table" and "must move table" Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... That is just because you are ignorant just saying.... ps google "feeder table" and "must move table" You're very passionate about this and have taken this way to personal. From now on I will be using the term 'must move table' instead of 'feeder table' and see if anybody else I know has heard of it. P.S googled both, got some obscure US poker websites for must move , and bird feeding tables websites Does this prove your point? Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: dik9 on July 21, 2010, 01:32:12 AM A "Must Move" Table is an extension of the main game, therefore ALL chips must be transferred from the feeder table (even if this is less than the original sit down).
If the tables aren't must move, then they are separate games in their own right and you can weed back to the minimum sit down, on the other hand if you have less than the minimum sit down you must make it up. Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: Bongo on July 21, 2010, 01:46:10 AM So in this instance it would be incorrect to call it a 'must move' table?
I wish people would use the correct terminology :P Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: Ironside on July 21, 2010, 01:58:56 AM ffs never heard of or seen either

That would be most strange indeed. Is this one of those weird misheard lyrics things, like when Jimi Hendrix said 'excuse my while I kiss this guy'? I thought the dude drank 'cider from eleven'. Someone needs to get to the bottom of this. Title: Re: 'Feeder' Cash Tables... Post by: lazaroonie on July 21, 2010, 10:58:17 AM I sat at one of those feeder tables the other night.
