Well, they're offering you the chance to back an even money shot at 2-1 so I can't turn it down. Still a gamble though. Especially not when you have to rely on someone else to get it done. Plus I'm not feeling particularly lucky this week-end. Would bok the fecker for sure! Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: acc2020 on July 23, 2010, 11:26:04 PM Harbinger has a good chance with O Peslier onboard. Currently 3.95 on Betfair or 5/2 on high street.
Had a big bet a couple of weeks back @ 7/2 his Royal Ascot form looks rock solid , producing a couple of Gr2 winners since. Workforce is a good favorite @ evens , good luck whatever you back. Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: The Camel on July 23, 2010, 11:39:07 PM Workforce has never run on a right handed track and his tendancy to hang means there is no certainty he will act on the track.
Added to the doubts concerning the Stoute horses form and the holes in the Derby form I couldn't back Workforce at evens with stolen money. Cape Blanco for me at better than 6/1. Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: Biddy 62 on July 24, 2010, 08:21:32 AM I'm with you on that. Why did Cape Blanco not run at Epsom?
Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: ACE2M on July 24, 2010, 10:46:40 AM i think you underestimate workforce, he will win today.
Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: Somerled on July 24, 2010, 11:00:09 AM I'm not too worried about going right handed, I think he managed OK at Goodwood as a 2yo and Ascot isn't the tightest, and with a 2f+ run in he'll be able to accelerate past the rest. Don't think Harbinger can give either Workforce or Cape Blanco that amount of weight.
Wish it had one more runner so Youmzain could be backed e/w. Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: ACE2M on July 24, 2010, 04:43:40 PM i think you underestimate workforce, he will win today. he he. Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: Chompy on July 24, 2010, 04:48:43 PM Harbinger, wow. Got v.emotional watching that for some reason, esp watching the interview with Harry Herbert afterwards. Gotta love racing.
Price up Sea The Stars v Harbinger Camel? Title: Re: King George tomorrow Post by: Somerled on July 24, 2010, 05:24:05 PM Incredible run by Harbinger. Workforce obviously well below par, Arc should be very very interesting.
